  • Publication number: 20070100132
Abstract: A process of producing a polyolefin, in one embodiment a polyethylene, and in a preferred embodiment a bimodal polyethylene comprising a high molecular weight component and a low molecular weight component, the process comprising providing a polyolefin having an I21 value of from 2 to 100 g/10 min and a density of from 0.91 to 0.97 g/cm3; followed by forming a melt of the polyolefin and passing the polyolefin through one or more active screen filter(s) having a mesh size of from 70 to 200 micron at a mass flux of from 5 to 100 lbs/hr/square inch; and isolating the polyolefin having passed through the screen filter.

  • Publication number: 20070043177
Abstract: The present invention includes a multimodal polyethylene composition has (1) a density of at least about 0.940 g/cm3 as measured by ASTM Method D-1505; (2) a melt flow index (I5) of from about 0.2 to about 1.5 g/10 min (as measured by ASTM D-1238, measured at 190° C. and 5 kilograms); (3) a melt flow index ratio (I21/I5) of from about 20 to about 50; (4) a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, of from about 20 to about 40; (5) a bubble stability measured on specified equipment according to specified conditions for a film of about 6×10?6 m thickness of at least about 1.22 m/s line speed, at least about 45 kg/hr (0.013 kg/sec) output rate, or at least about 0.5 lb/hr/rpm (0.0000011 kg/s/rps) specific output rate or a combination thereof; the composition comprising; and (6) a dart impact on 12.5 micron (1.

  • Patent number: 7134467
Abstract: A pneumatic off-the-road (OTR) tire has a plurality of central and shoulder lugs. The central lugs are arranged in a circumferentially continuous row and extend across the equatorial plane (EP). Each central lug is similar in shape and orientation relative to each circumferentially adjacent central lug. The tire is conformed having a tread package that effects a low net-to-gross ratio of less than 40% as measured around the circumference of the tire. The low net to gross tread pattern is incorporated into a relatively low aspect ratio OTR tire for construction and industrial applications.

  • Patent number: 7048484
Abstract: An improved method of shipping and storing tires having a removable tread belt mounted to a tire carcass which are typically used on large vehicles such as earthmovers. The method includes shipping the tread belt separately from the tire carcass; and holding two opposite sides of the tread belt in mating engagement during shipping.

  • Publication number: 20020138641
Abstract: A method and system for continuously playing media clips while dynamically assembling and changing the media clips to be played is provided. The method involves creating a dummy play list that causes a media player to request media clips from a proxy server. When the proxy server receives a request for a media clip, it redirects the request to a media content server. Because the proxy server may dynamically determine where to redirect the request, the sequence of media clips the media player plays may be dynamically arranged. Because the media player has what appears to be a complete play list, it can perform buffering to reduce or eliminate gaps between media clips.
