  • Patent number: 10723263
Abstract: The color generated by two differently-colored LEDs is maintained over time and different temperatures by sensing their combined output color using two phototransistors having different spectral sensitivities the output voltages of which are correlated to a desired output color. As the combined output color changes, the phototransistors' output voltages will change. The currents provided to the LEDs can thereafter be adjusted to maintain the output voltages and thus maintain the combined output color.

  • Publication number: 20160071078
Abstract: An Internet access kiosk and related system provides internet service in public locations. The kiosk preferably corresponding to the position of the user when using the kiosk: sitting in a comfortable reclining chair, standing on a sidewalk, or seated on a barstool. A per-minute fee is charged for use of the kiosk, and is secured with a credit or debit card, or deposit of currency, using a card reader or currency slot which is provided. When payment of the fee is secured, the kiosk instantly provides access to the Internet on a high-quality full-size computer with high-speed Internet service. The kiosk provides a Universal Service Bus (USB) port and upon completion of the Internet session, the kiosk offers the option of saving any work performed on a flash drive which may be provided by the user, or obtained from a vending machine which may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 5228363
Abstract: In a hand held multiple bit object implement having a handle with a central longitudinal axis, a bit selector cup rotatably mounted at an end of said handle to rotate about said central axis, a plurality of bits provided peripherally of said handle in a generally circular pattern about said handle axis, each bit being provided in said handle to extent essentially parallel to said handle's axis, a chuck provided at said end of said handle, said chuck being aligned with said handle axis for receiving a bit head, said cup having a continuous side wall with an interior surface spaced radially outwardly of the radial location of said circular pattern of bits and a closed cup end, an elongate slot extending from a central portion of said cup end and radially outwardly to the location of said bits in said handle, said cup being rotatable to position said slot in register with any desired bit in said handle, said slot in said cup being of sufficient size to permit withdrawal of a bit shaft from said handle in a direc

  • Patent number: 4716796
Abstract: A multibit hand tool has a plurality of bits provided in a circular pattern within a handle magazine. A rotatable selector cup at the end of the handle permits selection of a desired bit from the magazine and placement in a chuck in the handle. An elongate slot is provided in the cup to permit the manipulation of the bit. The improvement in this hand tool arrangement comprises an adaptation to the chuck and bit ends so that the selected bit end is readily placed within the chuck. This feature is accomplished by providing a number of operative faces on the bit end equal to the number of bits provided in the handle. Similarly, the chuck has a bore presenting a corresponding plurality of internal operative faces for engaging the bit end.

A rotatable selector cup at the end of the handle permits selection of a desired bit from the magazine and placement in a chuck in the handle. An elongate slot is provided in the cup to permit the manipulation of the bit. An improved guidance arrangement is provided for guiding movement of a bit withdrawn from the handle magazine for insertion in the chuck. The guide device prevents rotation of the screwdriver bit while being transferred from the magazine to the chuck. An improved arrangement is provided for retaining a bit withdrawn from the handle magazine within the bit selector cup so that bits are not lost. The mounting of the bit selector cup on the handle is improved to facilitate assembly and use of the bit selector cup.

  • Patent number: 4463788
Abstract: A multi-bit screwdriver comprises a handle with a bit selector cup rotatably mounted at its end. A plurality of bits are provided in a circular pattern within a handle magazine. A chuck is provided at the handle end for receiving a bit end and securing it against rotation. The cup has a continuous side wall with an interior surface spaced radially outwardly of the radial location of the bits. An elongate slot is provided in the cup end extending from the central portion of the cup radially outwardly to the radial location of the bits in the handle. The cup is rotatable to permit selection of a desired bit and withdraw it from the magazine. The bit end is retained in the cup for lateral transfer along the slot into registration with the chuck.
