  • Publication number: 20190063772
Abstract: A method for real-time control of thermal loads in a data center includes storing, in a database, a heat generation data associated with an electronic equipment located in a predetermined area of the data center, transmitting the heat generation data to a data analysis system in communication with a tunable temperature controller, the heat generation data provides a real-time input of an amount of heat generated in the predetermined area, the data analysis system receives and analyzes the heat generation data to determine whether the amount of heat generated in the predetermined area exceeds current settings of the tunable temperature controller, and in response to the amount of heat generated exceeding the current settings of the tunable temperature controller, updating the current settings to provide an amount of cooling that compensates for the amount of heat generated in the predetermined area in association with the electronic equipment.

  • Publication number: 20180367639
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing reciprocal data sharing in a data exchange system. Limitations may be placed on the amount of data an exchange member may access based on the amount of data that exchange member has contributed. The system may include determining a data contribution associated with a first member of the data exchange, determining a data access limit for the first member based on the data contribution, and providing data to the first member when the first member has not exceeded the data access limit. In some embodiments, there may be separate data access limits for each member of the data exchange, so that a first member may have different access limits when accessing data from a second member, data from a third member, and data from a fourth member. Further, the system may limit a requester to a type of data that corresponds to the type of data contributed.

  • Patent number: 10132318
Abstract: A method of controlling a variable geometry turbocharger is provided. A predefined desired boost pressure of a turbocharger is obtained from a memory. A predefined desired mass flow rate in an intake manifold of an engine is obtained from the memory. A theoretical amount of power required by the turbocharger to generate the desired boost pressure and the desired mass flow rate is calculated. An actual mass flow rate in the intake manifold is determined. An actual amount of power required by the turbocharger to generate the desired boost pressure and the actual mass flow rate is calculated. At least one adjustable vane of the turbine of the turbocharger is adjusted to allow the theoretical amount of power required of the turbocharger to generally equal the actual amount of power by adjusting the boost pressure.

  • Publication number: 20180202298
Abstract: A turbine blade includes an airfoil having a tip shroud. The tip shroud has an edge, and the edge has a profile substantially in accordance with values of X and Y in a Cartesian coordinate system set forth in Table 1 at points 1-30. The X and Y values represent distances that may be proportionally scaled by a common multiplier which, once scaled and connected, define the profile of the edge of the tip shroud. The profile of the edge lies in an envelope within +/?20%, +/?10% or +/?0% in a direction normal to any location along the edge set forth by the points in Table 1.

  • Patent number: 9842274
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting an object part location based on an extended date-driven detection. A specific relevance value between configurations of parts with respect to a set of training images annotated with annotating objects can be defined. A similarity learning algorithm can be applied with respect to the parts to obtain a similarity function based on the similarity between the part configurations. The similarity learning algorithm receives a set of positive pair having similar part configuration and a negative pair having different configuration and returns the similarity function that tends to assign a high score to new positive pairs and a low score to negative pairs. A similarity between a new image and the training images can be measured utilizing the learned similarity function to obtain a neighbor image and a visible and/or non-visible part location with respect to the image can be predicted based on the neighbor image.

  • Patent number: 9792301
Abstract: A privacy-preserving multi-query parking management system and method. An image of a vehicle with respect to a specific part (e.g., license plate) can be captured when the vehicle enters via an entry point. An image signature can be computed by embedding the image into a descriptor space and the image signature can be stored in a database together with relevant metadata. An image of a vehicle with respect to the specific part can be captured when the vehicle exits via at least one exit point and an image signature can be computed. An entry-exit association with respect to the vehicle can be performed by searching for a most similar image signature in the database. Additionally, given a textual query (e.g., a license plate number), a signature can be computed by embedding the text into the same descriptor space.

  • Patent number: 9683836
Abstract: Methods, systems and processor-readable media for vehicle classification. In general, one or more vehicles can be scanned utilizing a laser scanner to compile data indicative of an optical profile of the vehicle(s). The optical profile associated with the vehicle(s) is then pre-processed. Particular features are extracted from the optical profile following pre-processing of the optical profile. The vehicle(s) can be then classified based on the particular features extracted from the optical feature. A segmented laser profile is treated as an image and profile features that integrate the signal in one of the two directions of the image and Fisher vectors which aggregate statistics of local “patches” of the image are computed and utilized as part of the extraction and classification process.

  • Publication number: 20170161746
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a compromised data exchange system may include a memory, an input to receive encrypted personal identifying information (PII), and a processor coupled to the input and the memory. The a processor coupled to the interface and the memory, the processor configured to unencrypt the PII and re-encrypt the PII to produce re-encrypted PII data using a different encryption key for each field and to store the re-encrypted PII data as compromised data in the memory. In some embodiments, the processor may be configured to receive PII data to be tested, may unencrypt and re-encrypted the received PII data using the different encryption keys, compare the encrypted PII data to the compromised data, and determine a risk score based in part on the comparison. The risk score may be sent to a destination device, which may be the source of the PII data to be tested.

  • Patent number: 9626594
Abstract: A system and method for comparing a text image with or without a wildcard character and a character string are provided. The method includes embedding a character string into a vectorial space by extracting a set of features from the character string and generating a character string representation based on the extracted features, such as a spatial pyramid bag of characters (SPBOC) representation. A text image is embedded into a vectorial space by extracting a set of features from the text image and generating a text image representation based on the text image extracted features. A similarity between the text image representation and the character string representation is computed, which includes computing a function of the text image representation and character string representation.
