  • Patent number: 6508205
Abstract: An article of plastic mesh fabric legging apparel worn by equines on their front and back legs to prevent flies from biting or laying Botfly eggs on their legs. • Patent number: 5494085
Abstract: A container filling apparatus includes a tank mounted over a conveyor, and containers being moved along a conveyor under the tank. An elongated slot is formed in the bottom of the tank and aligned over the containers on the conveyor, to dispense fluid into the containers. A continuous loop belt extends around a pair of drums, with a lower portion of the belt in sealed slidable engagement with the tank bottom, to cover the slot. The belt has a plurality of apertures extending uniformly around the entirety of the belt, spaced apart a distance equal to the spacing of the containers on the conveyor, such that fluid dispensed through the belt apertures sliding over the slot will fill a container below the tank. Preferably, the belt is driven by the same drive system which drives the conveyor, to synchronize the speed of movement of the belt with the speed of movement of the containers under the tank.

  • Patent number: 5297668
Abstract: A vertical conveyor comprising a centrally rotatable column having a plurality of spaced apart container pusher bars extending therefrom. A helical container support bed extends around the central column and is positioned outwardly therefrom for supporting the lower ends of the containers being conveyed by the conveyor. A helical guide rail is positioned outwardly of the central column and is positioned above the support bed for preventing the containers from falling from the conveyor and for maintaining the containers in engagement with the pusher bars of the central column. A gate is provided in the guide rail near the lower end of the conveyor which may be manually opened should a line stoppage occur and it is necessary to remove the containers from the conveyor through the opening created when the gate is opened.

  • Patent number: 5291987
Abstract: A conveyor for raising or lowering articles thereon comprising a vertically disposed central column which is rotatable about a vertical axis and which has a plurality of radially spaced apart push bar assemblies mounted thereon. A spiral bed extends around the outer periphery of the rotating central column and is adapted to support the articles to be conveyed thereon. Each of the push bar assemblies has a freely movable endless chain provided thereon from which extend bars which rest upon the upper surface of the spiral bed and which move upwardly along the spiral bed as the central column is rotated in one direction and which move downwardly along the spiral bed when the central column is rotated in an opposite direction. Entry and exit conveyors are associated with the conveyor to supply articles to be conveyed thereto and for receiving the conveyed articles therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4398768
Abstract: A side dump cart useful for carting lengths of pipe and steel in various forms and other items and comprising a frame with wheels, a load-carrying platform tiltably mounted thereon and held from tilting during travel by a latch which is releasable for allowing the platform to tilt for dumping the load. A safety spring maintains the latch in latching position; a guard protects the latch operating surface from accidental engagement forces; a removable catch further prevents the platfrom from tilting; and the guard and catch being released by a separate motion of the operator from the releasing of the latch.
