A request to display information about the time-varying event can be received at a third time. A determination can be made regarding whether the third time is between the first time and the second time. When the third time is determined to be between the first time and the second time, display of a floating user interface element on the display device can be initiated in response to the request. The floating user interface element displays information related to the time-varying event. For example, at least one current state associated with the time-varying event can be displayed in a current state portion of the floating user interface element.
