  • Patent number: 8485293
Abstract: A method is provided for starting an internal combustion engine of a vehicle having a hybrid drive which includes at least one electric drive to which a high-voltage battery is assigned. If the high-voltage battery is discharged, an on-board electrical system battery of the vehicle is connected to a pulse-controlled inverter which activates the at least one electric drive; the at least one electric drive is accelerated load-free to a maximum rotational speed achievable at the applied voltage; the pulse-controlled inverter is disconnected from the on-board electrical system battery; and a clutch is engaged between the at least one electric drive and the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 7831281
Abstract: An interface is for connecting a first electronic component to a network of a plurality of electronic components. The first electronic component is implemented as a telecommunication terminal. A second electronic component connected to the network is implemented as a reproduction or processing device for data of the telecommunication terminal. The interface transmits the data between the reproduction or processing device and the telecommunication terminal.

  • Publication number: 20090015973
Abstract: A residual current protective circuit is integrated into a vehicle electrical system, in particular on the high-voltage side of a multiple-voltage vehicle electrical system, and operates without current measurement. The residual current is determined in an evaluation logic system by evaluating two voltages. These two voltages are voltages that drop at two high-impedance resistors, each of which being connected to ground between a connection between the battery and the generator. If the evaluation logic system detects a residual current, it opens both connections between the battery and the generator or the vehicle electrical system. In conjunction with a dual-voltage vehicle electrical system having two sub-systems connected by a DC voltage converter, a voltage-dependent circuit may be connected in parallel to the DC voltage converter, the parallel circuit grounding the high-voltage side in the event of a fault.

  • Patent number: 6710698
Abstract: A semiconductor fuse for electrical consumers (2) is disclosed, in which a semiconductor switch (3) is disposed between the battery (1) serving as a current- or voltage source and the consumer (2). Parallel to the semiconductor switch (3), there is a short circuit-proof bypass (4) with an integrated wakeup circuit (5), which cooperates with the semiconductor switch (3).

  • Patent number: 6330386
Abstract: A backlighting unit for planar and homogeneous illumination has a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp that is mounted one narrow side of a waveguide plate. The light emitted from the backlighting unit is emitted from one of the two large surfaces of the waveguide plate. The light is deflected from one narrow side to one large surface by prisms which are also mounted on one large surface. To homogenize the emitted light, the prisms are arranged in irregular fashion. Homogenization is advantageous in particular if an L-shaped or U-shaped lamp, which illuminates several narrow sides of the waveguide plate, is used as the lamp.
