    Abstract: A process for conditioning dentin surfaces in teeth to provide improved bonding strength between restorative materials and a tooth to be restored is disclosed. The process includes exposing a cut tooth surface to at least one enzyme, and then rinsing the tooth surface with water to remove any residual enzyme, prior to applying the restorative material.
