Abstract: A removable spine for a book having pages bound together by a binder coil includes a base supporting a pair of spaced arms, the base and arms being of a length generally corresponding to a height of the binder book. The base has a width substantially equal to a width of the binder coil, while each of the arms joined together have a distal portion oriented to engage a portion of an outer surface of the book and a proximal portion in a clearance orientation with respect to the binder coil. The spine may be slid over the coil for mounting on the book, and may be easily removed from the book. The arms may be pivotally affixed to the base to allow the book to be opened with the spine in place.

Abstract: A container that has perforations oriented so that when the container is opened along the perforations, the container forms a mat. The container may also be configured to form a tray when opened along the perforations. The perforations may be oriented so that the converted container provides a generally planar placemat portion that is integral with a tray portion. The perforations may also be oriented to produce a generally planar mat portion that is detached from the tray portion. The container is preferably made out of paper, cardboard, plastic, foil, metal and wood and is in the form of a bag or box. The use of the convertible container and method therefor allows a user to easily convert the container into a mat and tray that provides a clean surface for the objects and allows the user to easily access the objects once the container is open.

Abstract: A model vehicle is disclosed wherein a front portion or a rear portion of a chassis may be selectively raised and lowered, the vehicle also capable of being driven and steered using a remote transmitter.
