  • Patent number: 6745166
Abstract: When enciphered contents information is transferred from media A to media B, enciphered key information and ID(A) of the media A are recorded as a control number of data link ID in a memory of a media control unit. The control number is attached to the enciphered contents information and duplicated to the media B with the enciphered key information. The enciphered key information read from the media B and the enciphered key information read from the media B are compared with each other. When they coincide, a differential ID (A−B) value which is a differential value between media A ID and media B ID is outputted to the media B. After the output, the enciphered key information and ID(A) recorded in the memory are deleted.

  • Patent number: 4695904
Abstract: An information signal recording disc comprises a first recorded region in which an information signal at least including a video signal is recorded, and a second recorded region in which an end signal is intermittently recorded. The end signal is used to forcibly and automatically return a reproducing element of a disc reproducing apparatus from a playing position to a rest position. The second recorded region is provided at a position prior to the first recorded region in a direction of a reproducing sequence of the recorded signals on the information signal recording disc. The disc reproducing apparatus comprises a detecting circuit for detecting the reproduced end signal, and a controller. The controller controls the detecting circuit so that the detecting circuit is made substantially inoperative in a state where the disc reproducing apparatus is coupled to an external device having a discriminating function.

  • Patent number: 4563709
Abstract: A rotary recording medium is recorded with an information signal including a video signal on a spiral track formed thereon in terms of a plurality of fields of the video signal in one track turn of the spiral track. The rotary recording medium is time-sequentially recorded with information signals related to two or more different programs so that each information signal is successively recorded in terms of a period less than or equal to the above plurality of fields before being switched to an information signal related to a different program which is recorded immediately thereafter. A reproducing apparatus comprises a reproducing element which scans over the spiral track to reproduce the recorded information.

  • Patent number: 4470078
Abstract: A control circuit causes a reproducing transducer feeding motor to move the transducer radially across a disc having a video signal recorded thereon. The video signal is recorded along a spiral track, together with first, second, and third reference signals which control the transducer tracking. A feed pulse forming circuit forms a number of feed pulses according to the number of switching pulses which are generated due to the reproduction of the third reference signal. A number of kick pulses are required for shifting the reproducing transducer element from one track turn to another track turn as it moves toward a center of the rotary recording medium, with the movement occurring at a position where the third reference signal is recorded. The control circuit causes a rotation of the motor for moving the reproducing transducer along the radial direction of the disc, according to the number of feed pulses that are obtained from the feed pulse forming circuit.

  • Patent number: 4428002
Abstract: In a special mode video disc reproduction system in which two identical frames of video signals are recorded for each disc revolution of spiral tracks, and further recorded with a first or a second reference signal having mutually different frequencies on a reference signal tract between adjacent tracks of the recording medium the first and second reference signals are alternately changed over and recorded on the reference signal track every one revolution of the disc, and the disc is further recorded with a third reference signal at the vertical blanking period recording positions of the corresponding recording positions on the track where the first and second reference signals are changed over. A skip pulse supplying circuit generates skip pulses for skipping the reproducing element at vertical blanking period positions opposing positions where the third reference signal is recorded on the track, upon double-speed reproduction mode in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 4426692
Abstract: A rotary recording medium has at least one surface on which a spiral main track is formed with a reference signal track disposed centrally between mutually adjacent track turns. The track turns of the main track have an information signal recorded thereon. First and second reference signals are recorded alternately on the reference signal track, and a third reference signal is recorded at changeover positions on the recording medium. The three reference signals control a pickup guiding servo system. To identify specific places on the recorded disc, the third reference signal is recorded during extra long periods, with identification being made on a basis of the lengths of those long periods.
