    Abstract: A weight of a movable portion in a shutter unit is reduced. For this purpose, an imaging device according to the present technology includes: an imaging element that receives light from a subject and performs photoelectric conversion; a control unit that controls a timing of a charge reset of the imaging element; and a shutter unit including a base part that is disposed on a front surface of the imaging element and includes an opening through which light passes, an opening and closing blade that shields a part of the opening from light depending on the timing of the charge reset, and a support part that supports the opening and closing blade. As a result, only one opening and closing blade is included, a width of the opening and closing blade in a traveling direction is smaller than a width of the opening in the traveling direction, and the weight of the movable portion in the shutter unit can be reduced.
