  • Patent number: 7402143
Abstract: The present invention facilitates the detection of an occurrence of a physiological action imparting a displacement to a body part at a natural frequency signature by virtue of a bio-filter pad including a viscoelastic interior for intimate juxtapositioning against the body part, and having a mechanical resonance frequency midway in the range of the frequency signature associated with the physiological action.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 2003
Date of Patent: July 22, 2008
    Assignee: Biopad Ltd
Inventors: Avraham Berger, Ben Zion Haim, Baruch Meirovich, Avri Hazan
  • Publication number: 20060205999
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward the transportation of biological matter to a target site in a closed volume for transplantation purposes. The present invention involves provisioning WO99/18872's flattened droplet delivery apparatus with a pressure sensor for real time monitoring of the prevailing pressure in its transfer tube for feedback purposes. The present invention also includes a guide catheter for enabling the introduction of a delivery catheter to a target site in a closed volume and concurrent fluid drainage therefrom to discharge pressure. The present invention also includes a tubing set for use in a cell therapy procedure.

  • Publication number: 20020159921
Abstract: A method and apparatus therefor for depositing a flattened droplet on a partially absorbent surface comprising the steps of providing a narrow bore transfer tube having a proximal end and a distal end and containing a microvolume of liquid, the proximal end connected to a pneumatic system adapted for issuing an outgoing flow of displacement gas into the tube and drawing an incoming flow of displacement gas therefrom; and issuing an outgoing flow of displacement gas for slowly discharging substantially the entire microvolume of liquid as a droplet on the surface and controllably blowing one or more bubbles into the droplet towards the end of its discharge for flattening the droplet on the surface.
