    Abstract: A method and apparatus have been developed which inserts and withdraws tubing from pipes without bending or kinking the tubing. Beneficially, the method and apparatus may be employed to insert and withdraw tubing to depths greater than ever possible before. The method involves using a thruster pig to provide force to inject the tubing. The thruster pig uses a pressure differential to urge the tubing into and out of the pipe. Advantageously, check valves or relief valves allow fluid to be pumped down the tubing and out the front of the thruster pig, and then to flow back through the valves and up the annulus between the pipe and the tubing.

    Abstract: An apparatus for deploying an underwater pipe string includes a mast, an articulated table, a stinger, and a pipe erector. The mast is affixed to the articulated table and extends above the articulated table. The stinger is affixed to the articulated table and depends below the articulated table. The pipe erector is connected to the mast for loading pipe joints up to the mast. A pipe joint loaded in the mast is welded to the pipe string, which depends from the articulated table and through the stinger toward a seabed. The stationary table is articulated for tilting of the table, the mast, and the stinger azimuthally and angularly for a preferred direction and lay angle of the pipe string being deployed.

    Abstract: A pipe wiper assembly for stripping fluid from oil and gas well strings which has a pair of rams which can move from a first remote position relative to the pipe forward to a second position contacting and wiping the pipe and forward to a third position when the pipe is not in the oil or gas well to protectively cover the well, the rams being mounted in a carrier which has freedom of movement in any radial direction to allow the rams to be centralized around the oil or gas well string.
