  • Patent number: 4791743
Abstract: A wearing apparel device and a method of using it, includes a plate depending from a clothes hanger. A support device on the plate attaches a group of neckties to the hanger in a pre-determined separated manner. A group of garment indicia devices are disposed adjacent to the support device for indicating other garments to be worn with each individual necktie being attached to the hanger at individual necktie locations.

  • Patent number: 4583523
Abstract: The implantable heart assist device includes an elongated assembly extending transversely between the ribs of a person from the rib cage to the aorta of the heart to be assisted. The elongated assembly includes an aorta compressing device at the front end thereof for engaging the aorta externally thereof. A mounting device at the rear end of the elongated assembly supports the device from the ribs of the person, and a motive device actuates and deactivates the compressing means alternatingly to help pump blood through the aorta. To implant the heart assist device, a small incision is made at an area between the ribs, and the heart assist device is inserted through the incisional opening between the ribs. The mounting device is then affixed to the rib cage, and the motive device is then activated to cause the aorta compressing device to compress and release the aorta repeatedly.

  • Patent number: 4224467
Abstract: A corner mounted sound reproduction speaker apparatus is adapted to be mounted in a corner space defined in part by a pair of intersecting vertical surfaces and includes a hollow enclosure housing having a base and a pair of imperforate side faces adapted to engage and to overlie the respective ones of the pair of vertical surfaces. The enclosure housing also includes an inclined front face of a generally triangular shape. Speaker devices are mounted within the interior of the enclosure housing behind the front face and are adapted to be energized by a sound reproduction system, the speaker devices having a response in the range of about 20 cycles per second and about 20,000 cycles per second. The plane of the base is disposed at an angle relative to the axis of radiation of the speaker devices, and the angle is an angle between about 35.degree. and about 50.degree. so as to enable a pair of such speaker units to be employed in opposite corners of a room to produce a stereo effect throughout the room.

  • Patent number: 4063046
Abstract: A calculator adapted to be used with a push button telephone having an array of telephone push buttons for serving both as a calculator and as an enlarger for the push buttons to facilitate the actuation of them, includes a first array of finger discs corresponding to at least some of the telephone push buttons and extending from a cup-shaped housing having an open mouth adapted to fit over the array of telephone push buttons, the first array of finger discs enabling the user to actuate the telephone push buttons. Logic circuits are mounted within the housing for performing mathematical calculations, and a display device mounted on the housing responds to the logic circuits for indicating information concerning the calculations. A first set of switches are mounted on the housing and respond to the finger discs for causing the generation of input information for the logic circuits.

  • Patent number: 4002855
Abstract: An attachment adapted to be used with a push-button telephone having an array of telephone push buttons for facilitating the actuation of them, includes a series of finger discs corresponding to at least some of the telephone push buttons and bearing indicia on their upper faces, and a series of links fixedly connected to the lower faces of the discs extending to the telephone push buttons through apertures in a cup-shaped housing adapted to fit over the array of telephone push buttons which can be actuated by depressing the finger dics. At least some of the links are in the form of legs having an intermediate offset portion so that the upper faces of the discs may be larger in size and spaced further apart than the corresponding telephone push buttons to facilitate ready location of and manipulation of the finger discs.
