  • Patent number: 7553145
Abstract: A powder press for compacting a compressible mass into a rigid and dimensionally accurate body has a base, a first sleeve part in the base and having an inner surface, and a second sleeve part movable in a predetermined direction on the base adjacent the first die part between an inner position and an outer position. The second part has an inner surface forming in the inner position with the first-part inner surface a cavity open outwardly in the direction. A piston shiftable in the direction in the cavity can compact the mass therein. An actuator can shift the second part in the direction relative to the first part between the inner and outer positions.

  • Publication number: 20070062248
Abstract: A press for compacting a soft mass into a shaped workpiece. The press has a die adapted to hold the soft mass and having an open side, a compacting tool displaceable along an axis through the side into the die to compact the mass therein, a cylinder centered on the axis adjacent and outside the die, a piston shiftable in the cylinder along the axis and connected to the compacting tool, a relatively movable guide formation outside the die, offset from the axis, and fixed to the piston, a second guide formations fitting with the first formation, outside the die, offset from the axis, and generally stationary relative to the piston. The formations having engaging surfaces extending parallel to the axis, and actuator for displacing the piston axially into the die and thereby compact the mass therein. The guide-formation surfaces sliding axially relative to each other on axial displacement of the piston.

  • Patent number: 6564704
Abstract: A press for pressing pulverulent materials, in particular metal powder, having an eccentric crank drive, which has at least one connecting rod and a crankshaft and a gearwheel which is connected thereto in a rotationally fixed manner, for driving an upper punch unit. It is possible to drive the gearwheel via at least one worm drive of at least one motor. An electronic control unit is also provided. In this press, the electronic control unit is designed for reversing operation of the crankshaft.

  • Patent number: 4169580
Abstract: An electrically powered hydraulic winch has a main support containing a transmission connected on one side to a winch drum and connected on its other side to the output shaft of a hydraulic motor contained in a drive housing releasably bolted to the side of the support. A motor housing is fixed to the bottom of the drive housing and forms a fluidtight compartment containing a drive unit formed of an electric motor and a hydraulic pump, which latter is connected via a control unit in the drive housing to the hydraulic motor. A reservoir in the drive housing above the compartment maintains this compartment completely full of hydraulic fluid that is also used in the drive circuit between the hydraulic pump and motor.
