Abstract: An electrical contact having a connecting region, for connecting with an electrical conductor, a contacting region, for contacting with a complementary contact pin or contact blade, and a transitional region between the contacting region and the connecting region, where the transitional region is narrower in its width than the contacting region and the connecting region in order to interact with a contact locking member of a housing, the transitional region having three walls which are separated from one another by clearances, one wall forming the bottom wall and the two other wall forming the side walls, where the separation enables the required forming.

Abstract: An electrical contact portion having a box portion about a central axis and joined together along a seam by a mechanical interlocking portion, the contact being characterized in that a port is formed in a wall of the box to provide access by a support member to the interior of the box in order to support the seam at the interlocking portion during forming. Abstract: A part of an electric contact is specified, which is formed from a sheet, is constructed in the shape of a box, has at least four side walls and is assembled in such a way that there is located in one side wall a seam a which opposite edges of the sheet abut one another. The opposite edges are of counterbalanced configuration, and two projections are provided on the edge, and two recesses on the edge. A depression in the shape of half a spherical cap is located on the edge between the recesses. Depressions in the shape of half a spherical cap are arranged on the edge in the projections. The arrangement is intended to prevent the two edges from overlapping by virtue of a lateral effect of force.

Abstract: An electrical contact having a box like central portion from one end of which contact arms extend to electrically engaged a tab-type terminal. Extending from another end of the box like central portion is a transition section that interconnects the central portion with a conductor engaging portion. The central portion includes side walls having extensions that are inwardly folded to present improved bearing surfaces that, along with upwardly folded walls define first and second secondary lock areas. The bearing surfaces including sufficient surface area to assure reliable and maintainable secondary locking with the connector housing.

Abstract: An electrical terminal comprises an outer back-up spring and an inner contact body. The inner contact body is provided with resilient contacts in its middle body section that bias against a plated inner surface of the back-up spring for electrical contact therewith. The back-up spring has on an outer surface a gold plated band that serves as a zone for electrical contact with a short circuit spring terminal. Reliable electrical contact is therefore made between a short circuit spring terminal and the inner contact body of this terminal.

Abstract: An electrical contact (11) adapted for plugging connection, comprising a pair of contact spring arms (25) for pluggably receiving a tab contact. The contact (11) has arranged on its outside an outer back-up spring (13) including a pair of outer back-up spring arms cooperating with the contact spring arms (25). The outer back-up spring (13) can be slid onto the outside of the contact (11) from a matingside end of the contact spring arms (25) and is adapted to be snapped onto said contact (11).

Abstract: An electrical contact adapted for plugging connection, comprising a pair of contact spring arms and an outer back-up spring having a pair of outer back-up spring arms disposed on the outside of the contact spring arms. For reducing the insertion force for a tab contact insertable into contact, the two outer back-up spring arms are held by a spacing means at such a minimum spacing from each other that the contact spring arms come into abutment with the respectively associated outer back-up spring arm only after having been spread apart to a predetermined distance from each other.

Abstract: An electrical contact adapted for plugging connection is provided with locking lances projecting therefrom in obliquely outward direction and engaging a locking shoulder of a contact receiving chamber when said contact is inserted into said contact receiving chamber. The locking lances are disposed on the mating end of the electrical contact at the mating end of an outer back-up spring disposed on the contact.
