  • Patent number: 11949222
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for time aligning electric power system measurements at an intelligent electronic device (IED) using samples and sample time offset from merging units. The merging units do not require access to a common time signal. The IED does not require storage of a communication latency with the merging units. The sample time offset corresponds to a latency between obtaining the sample and receipt of the sample at the IED. The IED aligns samples from various merging units using sample time offset values communicated from the merging units to the IED. The IED performs monitoring and protection functions using the time aligned samples.

  • Publication number: 20240095099
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for implementing a decentralized framework for providing application programming interface gateways are described herein. An example computer-implemented method includes: determining a set of characteristics for one or more application programming interface gateways based at least in part on information characterizing one or more user inputs of at least one user; identifying a plurality of application programming interface gateways based at least in part on the set of characteristics; selecting one or more of the plurality of identified application programming interface gateways based at least in part on one or more selection criteria; and causing the selected one or more application programming interface gateways to be configured for the at least one user based at least in part on configuration data corresponding to the selected one or more application programming interface gateways.

  • Patent number: 11023433
Abstract: Data sets are synchronized between two or more clusters of nodes that support different versions of files (e.g., stub files) within a distributed file storage system. Moreover, the distributed file storage system employs a tiered cloud storage architecture. In one aspect, for stub files having versions that are not commonly supported by the two or more clusters, an application protocol interface (API) is utilized that employs a deep-copy process wherein cloud-backed data referenced by a stub file is retrieved from a cloud storage (e.g., public cloud) and sent by a primary cluster to one or more secondary clusters. Moreover, the API can determine an optimal synchronization process on a per-file basis.

  • Patent number: 9503542
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for writing back data to files tiered in cloud storage. Files tiered to cloud storage can be stored in chunks where each chunk is stored as a distinct cloud object and where each cloud object is mapped to known offset regions of a file and the mapping is stored in local storage within a stub file. If the file is modified locally, e.g., a write has occurred, the offset range associated with the write can be used to determine which cloud object associated with the file is being modified. A new cloud object can be stored with the write data, while the previous cloud object is retained in cloud storage. The mapping, stored within the stub file can updated to reference the new cloud object for the region of the file that was modified. In addition, mapping can be retained for the previous version of the file allowing for efficient recall of past versions of files.

  • Publication number: 20070083723
Abstract: A blade-based distributed computing system, for applications such as a storage network system, is made highly-available. The blade server integrates several computing blades and a blade for a switch that connects to the computing blades. Redundant components permit failover of operations from one component to its redundant component. Configuration of one or more blade servers, such as assignment of high level network addresses to each blade, can be performed by a centralized process, called a configuration manager, on one blade in the system. High level network addresses can be assigned using a set of sequential network addresses for each blade server. A range of high level network addresses is assigned to each blade server. Each blade server in turn assigns high level network addresses to its blades. The high level network address for each blade can be mapped to its chassis identifier and slot identifier. Configuration information also may include software version information and software upgrades.
