  • Patent number: 11992791
Abstract: A combination gas and fluid filter housing for supporting said gas and fluid filter media, having a first subassembly for supporting the gas filter media, and a second subassembly for supporting the fluid filter media, the second subassembly having ingress and egress ports at an end opposite of the first subassembly attachable to a manifold, the first and second subassemblies removably attached to one another such that the first subassembly is removable from said second subassembly to facilitate gas filter media replacement without disconnecting the second subassembly ingress and egress ports from the manifold.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2018
Date of Patent: May 28, 2024
    Assignee: KX TECHNOLOGIES LLC

  • Patent number: 10307697
Abstract: Filters for use in conjunction with valves of the faucet or spigot type, and to filters for use in devices for withdrawing liquids from containers at relatively low pressures, such as gravity feed jugs or other gravity feed reservoirs. A ¼-turn attachment scheme for connecting a filter cartridge to a gravity feed reservoir, such as within a beverage making/dispensing device.

  • Publication number: 20050092183
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a pressure limiting valve for preventing transmission of elevated pressure to components downstream of the apparatus. Preferably, the pressure limiting valve is used in combination with a flow regulating device that maintains a substantially steady flow rate through the apparatus even when subject to a wide range of applied pressure. The apparatus of the present invention is preferably suitable for use with filter systems wherein the pressure limiting valve is placed upstream of filter components that have limited burst and fatigue life capabilities. By isolating the downstream filter components from pressures that are greater than the target pressure range for a given application, the filter components can be designed to operate at much lower pressure, can be produced at a smaller size, and at a reduced cost.
