  • Publication number: 20120281064
Abstract: A method and apparatus to provide simplified control over image configuration from virtually any capture device and allows that image to be recorded and/or projected or displayed on any monitor is disclosed. This universality enables general ease of use, and uncouples the capture device from expensive system support, thus providing a method to more efficiently utilize resources.

  • Patent number: 7937982
Abstract: A hard disk destruction apparatus is presented having a penetrating point that is manually pressed against a hard disk. The point has an angled tip designed to penetrate the hard disk casing and deform the hard disk platters within. The manual pressing avoids the use of any electrical power or other fuel. In one described embodiment, a mechanical arbor press provides the necessary force. A transparent safety shield surrounds the hard disk during destruction. A restraint prevents upward movement of the hard disk when the point is extracted.

  • Publication number: 20070229649
Abstract: An egg is provided with an advertisement and a freshness date upon the egg. The advertisement and freshness date may be applied to the egg with radiant energy. The egg may move through an egg-handling machine through a region where the radiant energy may be applied to the egg. The radiant energy discolors the egg, thereby creating text and graphics, which form the advertisement and freshness date.

  • Publication number: 20060198979
Abstract: An adhesive printing material assembly includes a transport material and one or more adhesive printing materials that are releasably affixed to the transport material. The transport material can be a standard-sized sheet of paper that, in some instances, is a blank paper. The adhesive printing materials, such as Post-its each include an adhesive portion and a non-adhesive portion on the same side of the adhesive printing material. The adhesive portion is releasably affixed to the transport material, which enables the adhesive printing materials it to be fed through the printing device while affixed to the transport materials. After printing, the adhesive printing materials can be removed from the transport material without causing damage to either the adhesive printing materials or the transport material, thereby enabling the transport material to be reused for a subsequent and standard printing application.

  • Publication number: 20060138105
Abstract: A method of marking an egg is disclosed and comprises applying radiant energy to the shell of an egg so as to cause discoloration of the eggshell, thereby forming a marking comprising at least a traceability code and a freshness date. Apparatus is also disclosed for applying markings on eggs being processed by an egg-handling machine that is designed and configured to transport a plurality of eggs therethrough, wherein the apparatus comprises a radiant energy source located in proximity to the egg-handling machine, the radiant energy source being configured to apply radiant energy to the eggs as the eggs are transported past the radiant energy source to selectively discolor the shell of the eggs and form markings on the shell, including a freshness date and a traceability code.
