  • Publication number: 20070063082
Abstract: A shredding device, method, system, and software program for the destruction or obliteration of confidential information. The invention may have the ability to shred by a unit of measurement. The device being a self-service bulk shredder that charges the user by a unit of measurement, such as: weight, time, or number of various item types or pages. These items types may be sorted and logged by units. In addition, the size of the shredding maybe selected. The unit information may be used to determine a cost and usage data for operational and management purposes. A user may place bulk items in the shredder to be weighed to assess a cost and display cost and payment information to a user. Payments may be made electronically and/or by cash. • Publication number: 20070014511
Abstract: A method and apparatus for optical switching using light bullets is presented. In one embodiment, the invention is a switch. The switch is a multi-channel, optical switch to use light bullets as optical pulses. The switch includes a waveguide of a first material. The switch also includes a plurality of channels extending from the waveguide. Each channel of the plurality of channels is to provide an optical path suitable for transmission of the light bullets. Each channel is formed of a material other than the first material. A first subset of the light bullets are to propagate into a predetermined channel of the plurality of channels responsive to interaction with a second subset of the light bullets.

  • Patent number: 6951213
Abstract: A portable gas cooking grill apparatus comprising a grill having a hood and a firebox. It is preferable that the hood can be received by and seated upon the firebox, thereby enclosing the grill. A burner assembly, capable of heating the interior portion of the grill, is preferably disposed underneath a substantially solid cooking surface and within the grill, thereby fully enclosing the burner assembly. The grill is supported by a frame, arranged and configured to substantially correspond to the firebox and releasably receive the grill thereon. The frame includes a leg assembly extending therefrom. The leg assembly is fixed to the frame such that the leg assembly is movable between a retracted position and an extended position.
