  • Publication number: 20180306331
Abstract: A fluid regulator includes a regulator body, a retainer, and a cartridge. The regulator body defines a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a fluid flow path connecting the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet, and an opening disposed in communication with the fluid flow path. The retainer is at least partially disposed within the opening of the regulator body and has a central bore extending along a longitudinal axis thereof and a counterbore formed along an end of the central bore. The cartridge is adapted to be at least partially disposed within the central bore of the retainer along the central longitudinal axis and comprises an end portion having a surface extending radially from the central longitudinal axis. Upon the cartridge being at least partially disposed within the central bore of the retainer, the counterbore of the retainer and the surface of the cartridge form a connecting groove.

  • Patent number: 9624947
Abstract: An electronic regulator includes an inlet valve coupled to an inlet port, the inlet port configured to receive a supply pressure, and an exhaust valve coupled to an exhaust port, the exhaust port configured to release a pilot pressure when the exhaust valve is open. The electronic regulator also includes a pilot pressure output pneumatically coupled to the inlet valve and exhaust valve and configured to be coupled to an external process control device to provide the pilot pressure to the external process control device. A setpoint input coupled to both the inlet valve and the exhaust valve receives a setpoint signal indicative of a setpoint value, and the electronic regulator operates the inlet valve and the exhaust valve to control the pilot pressure according to the setpoint value. Further, the electronic regulator includes a vent valve coupled to a venting port and pneumatically coupled to the pilot pressure output.

  • Patent number: 9151401
Abstract: Fail-safe apparatus for use with fluid valves are disclosed herein. An example fail-safe apparatus includes a first piston, a second piston movably coupled relative to the first piston, and a fluid chamber between the first and second pistons to receive a control fluid. The control fluid is to operatively couple the first and second pistons when the control fluid is provided in the fluid chamber. The first piston is operatively decoupled from the second piston when at least some of the control fluid is removed from the fluid chamber.

  • Patent number: 8985137
Abstract: Mounting assemblies for use with fluid control devices are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a bonnet to be coupled to a valve and a mounting assembly including a first side to be coupled to an actuator and a second side to be rotatably coupled at an end of the bonnet to enable a rotational position of the mounting assembly to change relative to the bonnet.

  • Patent number: 6997440
Abstract: The valve includes a dome shaped diaphragm clamped between a base and valve body with the base having an inlet and an outlet opening to the diaphragm and a plastic button having a concave central portion surrounded by an annular convex portion for abutting against the diaphragm to move it to a closed position against a valve seat to block fluid flow between the inlet and an outlet. In a valve open position, the button central portion abuts against the diaphragm central portion while, as the button moves to a valve closed position, the closing force is applied to the diaphragm further radial outwardly. An actuator is operable for moving a plunger against a larger diameter insert mounted in a button recess which is axially opposite the diaphragm.
