  • Patent number: 9864940
Abstract: A system that includes a three-dimensional (3D) printing device, processor and computer-readable memory a 3D barcode and prints a three-dimensional object containing information embedded in the 3D barcode by: (i) receiving information to be embedded in the 3D barcode; (ii) determining a barcode symbology, wherein the barcode symbology includes at least one symbol character in a z-dimension; (iii) generating a build sequence that will cause the 3D-printing device to print the 3D barcode that embeds the received information in the 3D barcode in accordance with the barcode symbology; and (iv) using the build sequence to print the 3D object so that each symbol character of the symbology that is to appear in the z-dimension is printed as a physical representation in the z-direction on the 3D object.

  • Patent number: 9861277
Abstract: Interferometry-based methods and apparatus are presented for analyzing one or more wavefronts from a sample, in which the sample wavefronts are interfered with two or more reference wavefronts to produce two or more interferograms in a sufficiently short time period for the interferograms to be captured in a single exposure of an image capture device such as a CCD array. Each interferogram has a unique carrier frequency dependent on the angle between a respective pair of sample and reference wavefronts. In certain embodiments multiple sample and/or reference wavefronts are generated using scanning mirrors, while in other embodiments utilizing multi-wavelength beams multiple sample and/or reference wavefronts are generated with wavelength dispersive elements. The methods and apparatus are suitable for measuring aberrations at one or more positions on the retina of an eye.

  • Patent number: 9803327
Abstract: A feces collection assembly for collecting feces from a variety of surfaces includes a pair of tongs that are each manipulated thereby facilitating the tongs to selectively grasp feces on a surface. The tongs have a plurality of gripping edges and each of the gripping edges has a unique structure with respect to each other. Each of the gripping edges engages the feces on selected variety of support surfaces. In this way the feces may be removed from a variety of support surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20160345820
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are presented for obtaining high-resolution 3-D images of a sample over a range of wavelengths, optionally with polarisation-sensitive detection. In preferred embodiments a spectral domain OCT apparatus is used to sample the complex field of light reflected or scattered from a sample, providing full range imaging. In certain embodiments structured illumination is utilised to provide enhanced lateral resolution. In certain embodiments the resolution or depth of field of images is enhanced by digital refocusing or digital correction of aberrations in the sample. Individual sample volumes are imaged using single shot techniques, and larger volumes can be imaged by stitching together images of adjacent volumes.

  • Publication number: 20160205043
Abstract: A technique for allowing customers to control a video network. A network controller receives a request from an end user for a video connection between a first port and a second port. The request may specify at least a start time, an end time, the first port and the second port. A plurality of available routes between the first port and the second port may be analyzed to determine at least one selected route that will be used to connect the first port and the second port. A first command may be sent to automatically connect the first port and the second port via the at least one selected route at the start time. While in progress, the video connection may be modified according to system availability. Customers may have a view of all requests that have been made, completed or reserved for in the future.
