  • Publication number: 20050031093
Abstract: A system and method for interfacing unified message processing systems with legacy voice mail, e-mail and facsimile systems, located behind corporate firewalls. The system includes a unified message server, a proxy interface and a message protocol convertor. The proxy interface is configured to access the legacy system in response to a request from a unified message server. Messages stored on the legacy system are converted by a protocol convertor to a predetermined format compatible with the unified message server. The converted messages are then transferred to a unified message server which is capable of providing messages from different messaging system, such as voice mail, e-mail and facsimile to users in a predetermined format. The invention permits enterprise wide communication systems to provide unified messaging without abandoning pre-existing legacy messaging system.

  • Patent number: 6804431
Abstract: A device includes a housing, two members protruding from the housing, two transmitting optical subassemblies, two receiving optical subassemblies, a multiplexer, and a de-multiplexer. The housing includes two ports for receiving optical fiber connectors. Functionally, the two members act as two standard sized transceivers. The optical outputs of the transmitting optical subassemblies are introduced into the multiplexer and the output of the multiplexer is introduced into one of the two ports of the housing. The optical inputs of the receiving optical subassemblies emanate from the de-multiplexer. The optical data signal input into the de-multiplexer originates from the other port of the two ports of the housing. The two members are attached to the housing in such a way so that when the device is plugged into the receptacle of the host device, the two members can translate in three directions and rotate in three directions relative to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20040183800
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamic visualization of highly dimensional data are provided. Example embodiments provide a Dynamic Visualization System (a “DVS”), which maps data attributes to visualization dimensions and automatically imputes attribute values on-the-fly for each value of a sequencing dimension. Data having different resolutions can be simultaneously displayed in the same visualization. In one embodiment, the DVS comprises a Dynamic Data Management System with a user interface for specifying and mapping attributes, and one or more Dynamic Visualization Engines with near real-time control user interfaces. These components cooperate to define visualization scenarios based upon specified data subsets, determine and automatically execute a defined visualization, and allow analysts and other users to interactively modify the visualization.

  • Patent number: 6778399
Abstract: A pluggable transceiver module comprising a housing having a first side and a face perpendicular to the first side, and a tab extending beyond the surface of the first side, and the tab sized to mate with a slot in a receptacle of a host device for receiving the pluggable transceiver module housing; a member slidably mounted on the first side proximate the tab; a lever rotatably mounted on the housing, whereby rotating the lever causes the member to slide between the tab and the slot on the receptacle and remove the tab from within the slot, thereby releasing the pluggable transceiver module from the receptacle. The lever includes a free end and a rotatably mounted end, the rotatably mounted end including an extension adjacent to the member, such that extending the free end outward causes the extension to drive the member inward.

  • Patent number: 6698527
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for connecting a device or implement to a tractor wherein the tractor is equipped with a conventional three-point hitch. The apparatus includes a frame having a top member and a bottom member, which are joined together by a pair of side members. Each side member is adapted to be pivotably connected to a hydraulic lift arm of a tractor and the top member is adapted to be pivotably connected to a top arm of a tractor. Each of said side members further adapted to be pivotably connected to a stabilizer bar. The stabilizer bar is adapted to be pivotably connected to said tractor. The stabilizer bars prevent lateral movement and upward movement of the frame when the frame is connected to a tractor.
