  • Patent number: 4989633
Abstract: A wall-mount faucet assembly has a wall fitting adapted to be recessed in a wall and having an externally threaded stem projecting from the wall centered on an axis and formed with hot- and cold-water outlet ports. This fitting is formed with hot- and cold-water inlet ports behind the wall. A mixing faucet having an internally threaded collar engageable with the stem is rotatable thereon for axially displacing the faucet on the fitting. The faucet is formed in the collar with hot- and cold-water inlets connected in the fitting to the outlet ports. An adapter engaged in the collar between the faucet and the fitting has hot- and cold-water passages with upstream ends at the respective outlet ports and downstream ends at the respective inlets. The downstream ends are concentric such that the inlets connect thereto in any angular position of the faucet on the fitting.

  • Patent number: 4827538
Abstract: A faucet for mixing hot and cold water especially for a wash fixture, wash bowl or the like comprises a faucet housing connectable to hot and cold water supply pipes having a mixing or outlet chamber which is connected with a water outlet piece which is a withdrawable shower hose outlet. An aerating device responding to low pressure in the chamber which prevents a reverse suction of dirty water by the faucet is integrated in the faucet housing with the mixing or outlet chamber connected with it. This aerating device at least comprises one closure member pressed at least by the force of gravity into the closed position. The weight of the closure member is so chosen that the closure member is drawn into the open position with a lower pressure in the mixing or outlet chamber and communicates between the mixing or outlet chamber and/or the supply pipes and the atmosphere to supply air to the system.

  • Patent number: 4614449
Abstract: A brush for cleaning articles like bottles includes a hollow handle and a brush body connected to the latter and having a plurality of bristles. The brush body accommodates a passage through which the fluid flows and is provided with a plurality of slots radially extending from the passage in one plane. Cooperating with the slots is a deflector which has a rim portion extending beyond the plane of the slots so that the fluid after flowing through the handle and the passage is discharged through the slots and deflected onto the bristles at an acute angle with respect to the center axis of the brush.

  • Patent number: 4606370
Abstract: An operating mechanism for a fluid flow shifting valve of a sanitary mixing faucet assembly or the like of, for example, a bathtub and shower, which raises or lowers a flow shifting valve stem guided in the mixing faucet body so as to shift the fluid flow between two outlets, comprises an operating lever pivotally connected to the valve stem and also attached pivotally to a preferably rodlike, centrally located pivot bearing, wherein the lever arm of the operating lever is proportioned so that a reduced applied force is sufficient to effect a shift in fluid flow. Advantageously the operating lever may be provided with a press contact or a lever cap attached to its top for ease of operation. The operating mechanism is essentially integrated in the mixing faucet body so that it does not protrude significantly.
