    Abstract: A system and method for determining a route based on a preference are provided. The system includes a destination receiver to receive a destination from a GPS receiver in communication with a GPS system; a preference retriever to retrieve the preference based on a parameter, the preference being based on a recorded decision made by an operator associated with the GPS receiver or the GPS system in traversing a path to the destination; and a route analyzer to determine the route based on at least one of the preference or an optimal route calculated by a GPS system in communication with the GPS retriever. Also provided is a method for monitoring a preference associated with a route.
