A method for producing an aryloxytitanium composition, comprising a step (1) of adding a diaryl carbonate to an organic oxytitanium composition having an R—O—Ti linkage, wherein R represents an organic group containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and evaporating a component having a lower boiling point than that of the diaryl carbonate, together with the diaryl carbonate, so as to obtain an aryloxytitanium composition.
