The master gaming controller modifies a configuration setting of the gaming machine based on a customized setting indicated in the configuration instrument. The system further includes a server in communication with the plurality of gaming machines. The server is configured to store the configuration setting, to validate the configuration instrument, and to provide the configuration setting to the plurality of gaming machines.
