  • Patent number: 10838835
Abstract: Methods and apparatus relating to characterizing proximity risks within a radio mesh are described. In an embodiment, test manager logic causes periodic testing of one of a first group of processor cores or a second group of processor cores. Each of the first group of processor cores or the second group of processor cores comprises one or more processor cores of a multi-core processor. Memory stores information corresponding to the period testing of the first group of processor cores and the second group of processor cores. A fault signal is to be generated in response to completion of the period testing outside a Fault Tolerant Time Interval (FTTI). Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

  • Patent number: 8745273
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method of this embodiment provides if an OOB (out-of-band) state machine has not received a confirmation from an operating system that the operating system is functional, the operating system using a primary IP (internet protocol) address, then if the OOB state machine is in a passive state, transitioning to an active state and obtaining an OOB IP address if the OOB state machine currently has no OOB IP address; and receiving one or more first packets using the OOB IP address.

  • Patent number: 7634629
Abstract: A computer system is disclosed. The computer system includes a storage device, a device controller and a chipset. The device controller includes lock registers having values that correspond to the ranges of locked sectors of the storage device. The lock registers verify if a storage device access request is targeted for ranges of sectors of the storage device that are locked. The chipset includes an embedded controller to authenticate the storage device access request and to manage configuration of the storage device.

  • Patent number: 7558966
Abstract: Method and Apparatuses for determining integrity of a platform and notifying a remote system. In one embodiment a verification agent accesses a portion of a memory on the platform at initialization of the platform to determine if the data has been compromised or corrupted. The verification agent causes the information to be transmitted to a remote system. The verification agent may be local to the platform for which integrity is determined, and transmit the information to a remote administrator. Alternatively, the agent may access the platform over a bus or private channel, or a network connection and indicate information regarding the verification process to an entity remote to the tested platform.

  • Patent number: 6754209
Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a platform bus interface unit includes circuitry to divide a received network protocol compliant signal packet into signal packets of a smaller size for transmission over a platform bus of at least a portion of the data provided by the network protocol compliant signal packet. Briefly, in accordance with another embodiment of the invention, an integrated circuit includes circuitry to transmit over a platform bus at least a portion of the data provided by a network protocol compliant signal packet as signal packets of a smaller size. Briefly, in accordance with still another embodiment of the invention, a method of transmitting at least a portion of the data provided by a network protocol compliant signal packet over a platform bus includes the following.
