  • Patent number: 10702721
Abstract: A hat includes a shell, and an air filtration system for providing a protective stream of air across the face of the wearer of the hat. The shell defines an exterior of the hat. At the back of the shell is a fan housing which contains a fan and defines an interior through which air is passed through the hat. The filtration system includes a filter cartridge and a retaining basket. The filter cartridge includes a filter medium. The filter system is removeably positioned adjacent to and across the fan housing so as to filter air passing into the interior of the hat. The filter cartridge is removeably engaged to the retaining basket. The retaining basket retains the cartridge to the hat and ensures proper positioning of the filter cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10653197
Abstract: A hard hat with air flow system includes a hard hat with an air flow passage for passing air through the hard hat and out exits ports at the front of the hat to provide a shield of air downward across the face of a user. The system includes an air filtration system, a blower assembly for drawing air through the air filter and pushing the filtered air into the air flow passage of the hard hat, and a power supply for powering the blower. The filtration system, blower assembly and power supply being supported on a harness such as a belt or backpack, external from the hard hat.

  • Publication number: 20200130437
Abstract: A vehicle control system may include a wheel end unit attachable to the wheel-end of a wheeled vehicle. The system may employ one or more sensors to adjust wheel-end parameters and analyze sensor readings to diagnose conditions related to vehicle components, including tires, axles, bearings or components of the monitoring system. The system may analyze readings to predict conditions related to vehicle components or to components of the monitoring system. Wheel-end systems may be modular, allowing different implementations to include varying degrees of mechanical or electrical monitoring, analysis and control.

  • Publication number: 20200130436
Abstract: A vehicle control system may include a wheel end unit attachable to the wheel-end of a wheeled vehicle. The system may employ a plurality of pumps to supply compressed air to a tire associated with the wheel-end. The pumps may be supplied with energy transferred from torque generated by a pendulum, the energy transmitted through a non-circular gearing system.

  • Publication number: 20200134942
Abstract: A vehicular monitoring system includes a plurality of wheel-end units, each of which is attachable to the wheel-end of a wheeled vehicle. The system monitors sensor readings and may analyze the readings to diagnose conditions related to vehicle components, including tires, axles, bearings or components of the monitoring system. The system may analyze readings to predict, or prognosticate, conditions related to vehicle components or to components of the monitoring system. Each wheel-end unit includes a communications interface for communications among wheel-end units associated with a vehicle monitored by the system.

  • Publication number: 20200130435
Abstract: An energy harvesting system is attachable to the wheel-end of a wheeled vehicle. The system generates usable mechanical or electrical energy from the relative motion between a rotating component that rotates with the rotation of a vehicle wheel and a component that does not rotate with the rotation of the vehicle wheel. The usable energy may be employed by a monitor, analysis and control system that monitors sensor readings and may analyze the readings to diagnose conditions related to vehicle components, including tires, axles, bearings or components of the monitoring system.

  • Publication number: 20180185597
Abstract: A sleep mask valve structure for treating a patient suffering from obstructive sleep apnea is provided. The valve structure includes a rigid valve housing comprising an inspiratory valve and an adjustable expiratory valve. The housing defines an outside mask side and an intra-mask side, and further defines an expiratory airflow conduit accommodating airflow from the intra-mask side to the outside mask side and an inspiratory airflow conduit accommodating airflow from the outside mask side to the intra-mask side. The expiratory airflow conduit includes at least two changes of direction, with each direction change greater than or equal to 75 degrees and the inspiratory airflow conduit includes comprising at least one change of direction greater than or equal to 75 degrees. The two paths share at least one change of direction.

  • Publication number: 20050234370
Abstract: Disclosed is a breast pump that supports a mother's and infant's breastfeeding needs and facilitates the lifestyle of the mother's choice. The breast milk expression system disclosed allows breastfeeding mothers to obtain milk comfortably, hands-free, conveniently and with discretion. The breast milk expression system disclosed includes at least two contact points which mimic hand-expression as well as infant suckling and effectively stimulate the secretion of oxytocin and prolactin to provide a healthy, safe and efficient breastfeeding session. The system disclosed has a gentle rhythmic massage means and is located a distance from the base of the nipple and massages in all quadrants of the breast. The rhythmic forward pressure is provided by a plurality of opposing pairs of expression bellows that move the milk from the lactiferous sinuses through the nipple pores, bio-mimicking the techniques of hand expression.
