  • Patent number: 8917034
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, an apparatus, system, and method to limit a current overshoot in an electronic component using a switched feedback circuit to precondition a gate of a transistor coupled to the electronic component.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 2012
Date of Patent: December 23, 2014
    Assignee: Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation
Inventors: Carmine Cozzolino, Timothy Alan Dhuyvetter
  • Patent number: 8831230
Abstract: This document discusses apparatus and methods for configuring and providing crosstalk cancellation to maintain channel separation in a multi channel system. In an example, an amplifier circuit can include a crosstalk cancellation circuit configured to reduce crosstalk from a first output to a second load and from a second output to a first load where the first load and the second load share a return path.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2011
Date of Patent: September 9, 2014
    Assignee: Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation
Inventors: William D. Llewellyn, Carmine Cozzolino
  • Publication number: 20130321063
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, a switch circuit including a switch having a low-impedance state configured to couple a first node to a second node and a high-impedance state configured to isolate the first node from the second node. The switch circuit can include an arbiter circuit configured to receive a source voltage and an input signal, to provide, at an output, the higher voltage of the source voltage and the input signal, and to isolate the input signal form ground when the input signal has a lower voltage than the source voltage.

  • Patent number: 8373505
Abstract: An apparatus comprises an amplifier circuit and a detection circuit. The amplifier circuit includes a high voltage supply rail, a low voltage supply rail, and an output stage. The detection circuit is electrically coupled to the amplifier output stage and generates an indication when the output voltage at the output stage exceeds a specified output voltage threshold value. The amplifier circuit further includes a bias circuit configured to bias the amplifier circuit with a first bias current value when the output voltage is less than the specified output voltage threshold value, and bias the amplifier circuit with a second bias current value when the output voltage exceeds the specified output voltage threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20120194153
Abstract: A system comprises a switch circuit including an input and a control connection and a voltage converter circuit electrically coupled to the switch circuit. The voltage converter circuit includes an input electrically coupled to the input of the switch circuit and an output electrically coupled to the control connection of the switch circuit. The output signal generated at the output includes the input signal shifted by a substantially constant voltage amplitude as the voltage of the input signal varies.

  • Patent number: 7944303
Abstract: A source follower circuit is disclosed with an added amplifier that extends the low input voltage linear range while providing a lower output impedance. The drain of the source follower MOSFET is coupled to a gain stage that drives a second MOSFET (or other type transistor) with its drain coupled to the follower output. High impedance current sources bias the circuitry, and the difference amplifier has a reference voltage at one input. The difference amplifier with the reference voltage provides a feedback mechanism that maintain adequate drain to source voltage across the follower MOSFET to enhance the low input voltage linearity along with reducing the follower output resistance.
