    Abstract: A method of providing advertising content targeted to an operator of a vehicle. Vehicle data acquisition devices are employed to collect operator attribute information from vehicle trace data of the vehicle as the operator operates the vehicle. A processor of the vehicle applies a statistical analysis on the operator attribute information for determining a probability of demographic characteristics of the operator of the vehicle. The demographic characteristics of the operator are identified as a function of the determined probability. The vehicle communicates the targeted advertising content to the operator of the vehicle.

A quality level of information is determined to provide to the user device. The quality level of information determined as a function of variable parameters in response to the requested information being allowable information. The vehicle information is processed as a function of the quality level of information and the format-type of information. The processed vehicle information is output to the user device.

The mobile device is placed in a mounting fixture, which can provide power to the mobile device, and is designed to dynamically aim the mobile device's camera based on driving conditions. The mobile device can communicate with the vehicle's systems wirelessly, or via a wired connection. Images from the mobile device's camera are provided to a processor onboard the vehicle, and can be used by vehicle safety and convenience systems. The mobile device can also receive information from the vehicle and use the information in applications on the mobile device. Computing workload can be shared between the vehicle's processor and the mobile device.

The algorithm also causes the processor to identify at least one delegate vehicle, of a network of vehicles, for each delegation zone and seed a message into the network of vehicles by transmitting the message to each delegate vehicle via long-range communications so that the delegate vehicles can transmit the message throughout the network of vehicles via short-range communications.

A spatial relationship is determined between a location corresponding to the captured event and a location of a remote vehicle. A temporal relationship is determined between a time-stamp of the captured scene data and a current time. A utility value is determined as a function of the spatial relationship and the temporal relationship. A network utilization parameter of a communication network is determined for broadcasting and receiving the scene data. A selected level of compression is applied to the captured scene data as a function of the utility value and available bandwidth. The compressed scene data is transmitted from the source entity to the remote vehicle.

A portion of the first message is selectively cached in the electronic memory storage device and selectively communicated to the human-machine interface.
