    Abstract: A thermal treatment method for an A356 aluminum alloy cast-spun wheel is provided. The thermal treatment method is characterized by including the steps of: 1) heating an aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece to 540-550° C.; 2) preserving the heat of the aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece for 275-285 minutes at the temperature of 540-550° C.; 3) quenching the aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece in water of 70-90° C. for 180 seconds; 4) heating the aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece to 150-160° C.; 5) preserving the heat of the aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece for 175-185 minutes at 150-160° C.; and 6) cooling the aluminum alloy wheel cast-spun piece in air to room temperature.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a water cooled mold for casting aluminum alloy wheels and a manufacturing method thereof. The water cooled mold is provided with first-type water cooling channels with high heat exchange efficiency and second-type water cooling channels with low heat exchange efficiency. The first-type water cooling channels are concave grooves through which cooling water flows, and a cooling surface of the mold is in contact with open surfaces of the concave grooves. The second-type water cooling channels are grooves with stainless steel pipes, and the stainless steel pipes are in contact with the cooling surface of the mold. The second-type water cooling channels are installed on mold portions corresponding to wheel window positions of a cavity, and the first-type water cooling channels are installed on mold portions corresponding to spokes, flanges and rims of the cavity.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a wheel lightweight machining fixture and method. The fixture comprises a rotating chuck, an electric cylinder, a guide rail, a slide block, a first linear motor, radial positioning blocks and the like. When the electric cylinder drives the slide block to move along the guide rail, the position where an first ultrasonic thickness measuring sensor is in contact with a wheel spoke can be adjusted, so that the spoke thicknesses at different positions can be detected. Through motion of the turrets, an second ultrasonic thickness measuring sensor can contact the outer rim of the wheel and detect the rim wall thickness. By integrating a measurement feedback system into the manufacturing process, the disclosure provides a fixture and a method for minimum entity machining of the rim wall thickness and the spoke thickness of a wheel during the first stage turning process, thereby realizing lightweight manufacturing of the wheel.

A circumference arrangement range of the heat-insulation grooves needs to be larger than the widths of the spokes, and the number of the heat-insulation grooves is defined by the number of the spokes. Heat-preservation asbestos is arranged in each heat-insulation groove, thereby further strengthening heat-insulation and heat preservation functions.
