  • Publication number: 20230309754
Abstract: The present invention is comprised of a novel handle, which is comprised of a proximal grip, which the user wields to utilize the utensil. Said grip is offset to the left or right side of the implement portion of the utensil, depending on user handedness, or preference. The ability to conform the utensil to user hand preference greatly enhances the user's cooking experience. A connecting bar is connected to the distal portion of the grip. The connecting bar connects the grip to the implement portion. The distal end of the connecting bar is comprised of a releasable connecting means, which connects to a corresponding releasable connecting means of the cooking implement.

  • Patent number: 6964335
Abstract: A storage device for disc media is provided. The storage device includes at least a case for storing the disc media. The case generally includes a plurality of case walls defining a box-like shape, a cavity defined inside the case walls that is sufficient to accommodate the disc media, and an opening defined in a side of the case (which is arbitrarily referred to as the front side of the case), the opening being at least sufficient for inserting the disc media into the cavity. According to a first aspect of the invention, the storage device includes a tray for optionally storing printed media associated with the case and a structure for retaining the tray on the case. According to a second aspect of the invention, the storage device includes a structure for selectively controlling the release of the disc media from the case. These two aspects of the invention can be practiced independently, but most preferably and advantageously are practiced together.

  • Patent number: 6680028
Abstract: A portable air purifier system and apparatus which includes a multi-element filter pack that is replaceable as a single unit, thus facilitating health safety of maintenance personnel. By serially disposing filter elements in order of descending sizes of particulates, filtering is improved. Selectably includable within the filters are materials that are particularly efficacious in removing contaminants such as acetone, ammonia, ozone, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ethanol, methane, ethane, methanol, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide and other hazardous substances. By including an ultra-violet light source directed onto an activated charcoal layer, germicidal action is facilitated, and noise is abated through the advantageous employment of an expanded plenum and multiple right angle bends in air passageways.

  • Patent number: 6502669
Abstract: A security device attachable to a transport device, such as a shopping cart, which includes a housing, an extension having a plurality of openings, and a swivel caster having a wheel all mounted to the cart in place of a preexisting swivel caster. A locking member is provided which is selectively moveable to reside in one of the plurality of openings of the extension for inhibiting movement of the swivel caster about a vertical pivot axis and fixing the swivel caster at an acute angle relative to the normal forward or reverse direction of travel of the transport device while allowing free wheel rotation about an axle. The security device further including an anti-tip member rigidly coupled to a back of the transport device for precluding tipping in order to redistribute the weight of the transport device onto its rear wheels in an attempt to circumvent the security device.

  • Patent number: 5432412
Abstract: A security device for a cart wheel utilizing a housing which is mounted to the cart in the vicinity of the wheel. A locking element supported to the housing and is selectively movable into positions engaging the cart wheel or being disengaged from the cart wheel. A motor is employed to move the element in such reciprocal motion and is operated by a controller. The controller includes a counter to determine the number of revolutions completed by the wheel, and a trigger for starting the motor upon receipt of a signal from the counter representing a preselected number of revolutions completed by the wheel.
