Abstract: Various embodiments relating to displaying viewpoints from a point of interest are disclosed. One embodiment includes displaying an entry point that includes a link to a view of a three dimensional scene from a point of interest, receiving a selection of the entry point from the user, retrieving a predetermined path of a plurality of predetermined viewpoints located around the point of interest, displaying the view of the three dimensional scene, the view being a rendering of the three dimensional scene from a first predetermined viewpoint in the plurality of predetermined viewpoints, displaying an interaction interface including a control to scroll along the predetermined path to a next location on the predetermined path, receiving a selection of the control, and displaying a second view of the three dimensional scene, the second view being a rendering of the three dimensional scene from the next location.

Abstract: Digital content encoded in a media file format may be presented by accessing the media file, reading parameters that describe the content, and processing the media file using the encoded parameters to “play” or generate output. Although the media file format may have multiple optional extensions, the media file generally includes one or more frames. Each frame may include a synchronized frame with the synchronized frame having a synchronized header, a video format indicator, an audio format indicator, a width indicator, a height indicator, a frame rate index, and a payload. Although the digital content may include different types and formats, the parameters used in the media file may be used to describe the digital content so that it may be processed independent of the underlying algorithm used. For example, multiple channels of audio signals may be described.

A determination can be made as to whether a capture event occurs within a proximity mask, where an object is not likely to be out of range if an image of the object is captured from within the proximity mask. For an image captured within the proximity mask, a determination can be made as to whether capture event imagery metadata for the image overlaps a footprint mask for the desired object. If so, the image may be regarded as comprising a discernible view of at least some of the desired object and is thus identified as an area of interest (e.g., that may be modified to accommodate privacy concerns, for example).

If a number of failures occurs in a geographic area, then resources (e.g., a car with a camera) may be deployed to collect imagery of that area. In another example, knowledge about a geographic concentration of requests might be used to disambiguate a request relating to a larger area (e.g., requests relating to “Minneapolis” might be focused on the area near the I-35 bridge, if data show that many requests in Minneapolis are for the area around that bridge).

Abstract: A system and method for managing garment alterations. The system includes a workroom processor having a display and operating a garment alteration application system. Alterations tickets are created using a garment alterations ticket terminal, or display interfaces on the workroom processor that prompt the user for garment alteration data. The alteration data is stored in an alteration ticket data structure that relates to the workflow of a typical workroom. Alterations tickets are presented in the ticket list from which the alteration ticket status updated according to work performed. The reports module generates corporate and workroom management reports based on data stored in relation to the alterations.

Abstract: A system and method for managing and processing insurance claims is provided that implements an object oriented graphic user interface. The system includes at least one remote computer for entering and viewing insurance claim information. A wide area network capable of communicating with the remote computer and a computer in communication with said wide area network are also included. An insurance datafile, generated at said remote computer, is transferrable over the network. The method includes the steps of transmitting a claim assignment from an insurance office computer to a mailbox in a communications server, retrieving the assignment at a remote computer and generating an insurance claim datafile containing all data pertinent to an insurance claim and allowing for bidirectional transmission of the datafile over a wide area network. A graphic user interface for use in managing an insurance claim from an initial claim to final settlement is also included.

Abstract: A jewelry clasp having a female housing with a male member for insertion into the housing, and a locking mechanism for releasably locking the male member into the housing. A resilient clip in the form of a substantially pear shaped configuration is mounted onto the male member to thereby effect unidirectional passage of the male member through a jewelry mounting aperture. The male member, when the clip is compressed, can pass through the aperture thereby mounting a piece of jewelry on a chain connected to the male member. When the clip is released, it returns to its expanded position and provides a thickness greater than the aperture, thereby preventing the jewelry from sliding off the chain. The clip passes through openings in the male member to secure the clip to the male member.

Abstract: A jewelry clasp is provided with a female member and a complementary male member adapted to cooperate with a releasable locking member disposed within the body of the female member, where the locking member engages the male member to hold the male member within the female member to prevent removal thereof. The locking member includes an integral one-piece construction having a locking portion for engaging the male member, a resilient portion for biassing the locking portion against the male member, and an actuating portion for moving the locking portion relative to the pressure of the resilient portion for releasing the male member to permit retraction of the male member from the female member. A holding member disposed within the female member positions the resilient portion relative to the female member.
