    Abstract: There is provided a supplemental backup lighting apparatus adapted to be connected to a vehicle's trailer hitch. The apparatus includes a housing formed from first and second partial shells. The first partial shell includes first and second openings for receiving a pair of lamp assemblies. Preferably, a shank is attached to the second partial shell and extends away therefrom. The shank is engageable with the vehicle's trailer hitch for securing the supplemental reverse lighting apparatus to the vehicle.
