Abstract: The present invention provides an improved process for recovering CO from a catalytic fast pyrolysis (CFP) process product effluent. The process comprises the steps of: a) providing a first vapor phase stream resulting from a CFP process comprising, on a water-free and solids-free basis, from 25 to 80% CO and at least 15% CO2, b) mixing the first vapor phase stream of step a) with a particular solvent to make a mixed phase stream, c) separating the mixed phase stream of step b) into a second vapor phase stream comprising CO and a liquid phase stream, and d) recovering a product stream from the second vapor phase stream of step c) having a higher concentration of CO and a lower concentration of CO2 than the first vapor phase stream of step a).

Abstract: A method of blocking partial cells at the periphery of diesel filters is disclosed. The method comprises plugging the partial cells with a suitable plugging material. In one embodiment, a line of plugging material is applied to either or both of the end faces of the diesel filter along an outermost row of partial cells to block same. In another embodiment, the outermost wall the diesel filter is first beveled to form a beveled edge and uniquely off-set the partial cells. Then the beveled edge has applied thereto a plugging material, such as a line or bead. A honeycomb structure having reduced number of unplugged partial cells at the periphery is also disclosed.

Abstract: A patient transport bag includes a fabric base having a bottom and four sides which define an interior cavity. The base is securable to a stretcher. A top cover is detachably secured to the base. Straps are provided for securing the top cover as a roll along one of the four sides. The patient transport bag, as described, is attachable to a stretcher in such a manner that it is ready for immediate use.
