    Abstract: A gear-shifting mechanism for vehicles has a crankcase, a gearbox and a reserved room. Because the reserved room is formed between a first case of the crankcase and a body of the gearbox, a shift lever can protrude out of the first case and is mounted into the reserved room to connect to a transmission between the crankcase and the gearbox. Besides, the shift lever also can protrude out of a second case to connect to a transmission opposite to the gearbox. As a result, the shift lever can output in two directions, applicable for the gearbox in left or right of the crankcase. An engine connected to the gear-shifting mechanism can be adapted for various vehicles.

    Abstract: A method of measuring hematocrit (HCT) and a measurement device using in the method and depends on an electrode test specimen to create a capacitor charging effect and consequential change in discharge current for measurement of hematocrit. The method of measuring hematocrit comprises steps as follows: (a) Instill blood into a pair of test electrodes which is installed in the present invention and apply a voltage to the pair of test electrodes; (b) Remove the voltage applied to the pair of test electrodes and measure a discharge current value; (c) Refer to a predetermined decision rule and the discharge current to obtain a hematocrit value for blood. As such, the present invention which relies on an electrode test specimen in measurement of hematocrit corresponding to a discharge current value during electric discharge contributes to precision and reliability in contrast to conventional hematocrit tests.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of inspecting a photomask to decrease false defects, which uses a plurality of image rendering models with varying emphasis on different design aspects, and an associated apparatus. In some embodiments, the method is performed by forming an integrated circuit (IC) design comprising a graphical representation of an integrated circuit. A first image rendering simulation is performed on the IC design using an initial image rendering model to determine a plurality of initial mask defects. A second image rendering simulation is performed on the IC design using a modified image rendering model that emphasizes a design aspect to determine a plurality of modified mask defects. By comparing the plurality of initial mask defects with the plurality of modified mask defects, falsely identified mask defects can be detected and eliminated.

    Abstract: An electrical control belt continuously variable transmission system controls a movable driving half-pulley or movable driven half-pulley initiatively, by changing a driving interval between the movable driving half-pulley and a fixed driving half-pulley or a driven interval between the movable driven half-pulley and a fixed driven half-pulley, respectively, depending on different statuses, in order to adjust a velocity ratio.     Abstract: This invention is to provide a tappet clearance adjusting cover coupled with a secondary air valve. The tappet clearance adjusting cover is disposed on a cylinder head of an engine. The secondary air valve includes a recessed element and a cap which jointly form a receiving space receiving therein a one-way valve. The recessed element is provided with an inlet pipe interposed between the cap and the tappet clearance adjusting cover. By disposing the secondary air valve on the tappet clearance adjusting cover and arranging the inlet pipe between the cap and the tappet clearance adjusting cover, with the one-way valve received in the receiving space of the secondary air valve, heat dissipation can be improved while the one-way valve is protected against premature deterioration and carbon deposition caused by a high-temperature exhaust gas from the cylinder head. Thus, reliability as well as a service life of the one-way valve is effectively increased.

    Abstract: A new electrochemical method for determining dissolved oxygen concentration is developed. It employs cobalt based oxide or complex to modify a conductive electrode surface. This method can be applied to determine dissolved oxygen in regard to medical and environmental demands. The chemical formula of the cobalt based oxide or complexes can be shown as CoxOy or CoaLb. Both “x” and “a” represent the number of cobalt atom; while “y” and “b” represent the number of oxygen atom and the number of coordinating ligand, respectively. For instance, the best known example of cobalt oxide is Co3O4, and the best known examples of cobalt complexes are cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPC) and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), or other macrocyclic complexes with a metallic nucleus of cobalt. The present invention determines the concentration of dissolved oxygen in solution in potentiostatic mode with three electrodes. As a result, the dissolved oxygen can be determined between 0.0V and ?0.3V vs.
