    Abstract: A distance-measuring device is utilized for measuring a measured distance between a measured object and the distance-measuring device. The distance-measuring device reduces the effect of a background light and a flicking light by removing the part corresponding to the background light and the flicking light from light-sensed signals generated by an image sensor of the distance-measuring device. In addition, the distance-measuring device calculates a calibrating parameter for calibrating an assemble-error angle of the distance-measuring device, according to an imaging location of a reflective light obtained by measuring a calibrating object with a predetermined distance. In this way, the distance-measuring device can correctly calculate out the measured distance.

Each light emitting and receiving unit includes a linear light source and a light sensing component. The optical touch display device has advantages of low cost.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a host apparatus, includes steps of the followings. First, a pattern is projected to a detection region. Second, images of the detection region are captured and image information stream is generated based on the images. Third, an image information associated with the pattern is identified to be a background image information. Fourth, a currently captured image information is subtracted to the background image information to identify if an object appears in the detection region. Fifth, a motion of the identified object is determined based on a variation of the pattern reflected from the identified object to generate a control instruction to the host apparatus. A host apparatus, an interaction control system and a method for detecting a motion of an object are also provided.

The image sensor is configured for sensing the pointer and the mirror image thereof when the pointer approaches the sensing area. When the pointer approaches the sensing area, the processing circuit calculates a coordinate value of the pointer according to an image sensed by the image sensor and a predetermined size of the pointer. The pointer forms an imaginary orthographic projection in the sensing area, the processing circuit regards the imaginary orthographic projection as a round projection, and a radius of the round projection is the predetermined size.
