    Abstract: A power converter includes a high side switch, a low side switch, a low side driver, a loading detector, a configurable regulator and a high side driver. The low side driver generates a low side drive signal to control the low side switch. The configurable regulator generates a regulation voltage, a magnitude of which is greater when the loading detector detects that the power converter has light loading than when the loading detector detects that the power converter has heavy loading. The high side driver generates a high side drive signal that switches between the input voltage and the regulation voltage to control the high side switch.

    Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, an initial pattern layout is obtained. The initial pattern layout incudes fin patterns which include active fin patterns to be formed as active fin structures and dummy fin patterns not to be formed as actual fin structures or to be removed. The locations of the fin patterns are modified, as follows. A space between adjacent active fin patterns is increased by a first amount, a space between the dummy fin patterns is decreased by a second amount, and a space between one of the dummy fin patterns and one of the active fin patterns adjacent to the one of the dummy fin patterns is decreased by a third amount. Mandrel patterns are placed so that the fin patterns of which locations are modified are placed along longitudinal edges of the mandrel patterns.

Nucleic acid extraction plates can be moved from the first operation area to the second operation area by means of the carrying boards as the two openable door sheets are opened, and be isolated in the second operation area for performing nucleic acid extractions as the two openable door sheets are closed.

    Abstract: A sporting apparatus comprises a structure body, an endless belt, an electricity generating unit, a position sensing unit and a modulation unit for continuously outputting electricity as the sporting apparatus is continuously operated. The electricity generating unit transforms kinetic energy, which is transmitted from the endless belt, into electric power. The position sensing unit senses a position of a user on the endless belt so as to generate a sensing signal. The modulation unit includes a DC/AC inverter, a current sensing element, an inductor and a semiconductor switch with a controller. The current sensing element senses an armature current outputted from the electricity generating unit and outputs a signal to the controller. The controller controls the duty ratio of the semiconductor switch to control the armature current, so that the armature current is adjusted according to the sensing signal for controlling the rotation speed of the endless belt.

    Abstract: A thermal control apparatus is provided. The thermal control apparatus includes a controller and a thermoelectric cooling module. The thermoelectric cooling module includes: a thermal sensor for measuring a first current temperature of a first location of the thermoelectric cooling module; and a thermoelectric cooling device for adjusting the first current temperature according to a control signal from the controller. The controller calculates a predicted temperature of a second location of the thermoelectric cooling module according to the measured first current temperature and a thermal model between the first location and the second location. The controller further automatically adjusts a first target temperature of the first location according to the predicted temperature and an expected temperature of the second location, and controls the thermoelectric cooling device to automatically adjust the first current temperature of the first location to reach the first target temperature.
