Abstract: A steering apparatus with a fixed pad operated by a driver of a vehicle includes spokes one end of which extend in a tapered manner from a steering shaft and to the other end of which an annular steering operation portion is secured; and a fixed pad accommodated in a tapered space formed by the spokes, wherein an interval between opposing surfaces of the spokes and the fixed pad is set to be substantially uniform, so as to prevent a foreign object from being caught between the opposing surfaces when the steering operation portion is operated.

Abstract: A switch device for a power driven seat of a vehicle wherein the position of the seat is adjusted by the driving force of a motor. A first control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat cushion and a second control knob three-dimensionally representing the shape of the seat back are provided. These knobs are capable of moving relative to each other, and the movement of each of the knobs by an occupant is detected by a limit switch. Therefore, when the passenger intends to move each portion of the seat, it is necessary to move the first and the second control knobs in the desired direction of the seat. As a result, the seat is moved.

Abstract: A child passenger seat includes a shell mounted on and secured to a seat of a vehicle and supporting a webbing which restrains the body of a child passenger in an emergency situation of the vehicle. The child passenger seat further includes a cover which is fitted over the shell and provided with a pocket for accommodating a cushioning pad. Accordingly, it is possible for the pad to be removed from the cover so as to be replaced or washed.

Abstract: A webbing intermediate portion retaining apparatus for use in an automatic seatbelt system for a vehicle arranged such that, when an occupant enters the vehicle, an occupant restraining webbing is automatically fastened to the occupant's body, whereas, when the occupant leaves the vehicle, the webbing is automatically unfastened from his body. The apparatus enables the intermediate portion of the webbing to be retained by a hook provided on a door of the vehicle when the occupant leaves the vehicle. The apparatus effects control such that, when the occupant is going to leave the vehicle, the hook is moved to a position for retaining the intermediate portion of the webbing, whereas, after the occupant has entered the vehicle, the hook is moved to a position for canceling the retaining of the intermediate portion of the webbing. Accordingly, when the occupant enters and leaves the vehicle, it is possible to ensure a sufficient space for him to move smoothly.

The device includes a base member adapted to be rotated about a rotary axis and having an indication region thereon. The indication region indicates a desired image and comprises a plurality of reflection faces. The reflection faces are inclined in the same direction and also at the same angle with respect to a standard plane perpendicular to a rotary axis of the rotary base member. Thus, when the base member rotates, the observer can visually recognize the image as a clear single image due to the after image phenomenon.
