    Abstract: In some examples, photographic mapping of an object takes place during transport at a fixed position by means of a line camera in a sequence of recording periods. An exposure device is exposed for an exposure time that is dependent on the duration of the on-time of the line camera. Each strip-shaped portion of the object to be photographically mapped is exposed, within a recording period, asynchronously for the duration of a first exposure time to white light and for the duration of a second exposure time either to ultraviolet light or to IR light. Each strip-shaped portion of the print image to be photographically mapped is alternately exposed by the exposure device, within the recording period photographically mapping the portion, to white light and either to UV light or to IR light during the duration of the on-time of the line camera.

    Abstract: A radio communication system, for example a TDMA/CDMA radio communication system, has at least one base station recurringly offering frequency channels for a random access for mobile stations in an upstream direction. The mobile station that requests a connection setup measures a reception power of a signal sent in a downstream direction by the base station and sets a transmission power for sending an access radio block to the base station dependent on the measured reception power. A variable transmission power control can thus be implemented at the mobile station side with the assistance of the measured reception power of the signal transmitted on the part of the base station, being also capable of being implemented for random access of the mobile stations, this having previously always occurred with maximum transmission power.

    Abstract: A method is described in which a signaling message is sent from a first radio station to a second radio station. The message contains information relating to both a frequency channel number and a frequency channel bandwidth, each referring to a common standard bandwidth. The signaling message is received by the second radio station, and the signaled frequency channel is used for transmission and reception purposes. The data relating to the frequency channel number and the bandwidth indicate which frequency channel has to be used. In addition the signal includes information about using radio communication systems with a plurality of non-interconnected frequency bands and with bandwidths intended for various applications.

    Abstract: A process for the transmission of data packets from mobile stations to base stations in mobile radio systems operated by the time-division multiplex method where an effective utilization of resources and a reduced amount of signalling is achieved in the transmission of such data packets by the fact that the determination of the timing advance for the time of sending of the mobile station is linked to the satisfying of decision criteria with respect to the period of time between timing advance determinations. This period of time can be made relatively generous by transmitting the data packets with a short guard time.
