  • Patent number: 7600553
Abstract: A safety mechanism for a closing installation, comprising a shaft and an element having teeth for cooperating with a catch which oscillates during rotational movements of the shaft. The mechanism further comprises a safety system including a ring for braking the oscillatory movement of the catch. The movement of the ring is controlled by a detecting system that detects the state of a spring which used to compensate the torque exerted on the shaft by the screen body.

  • Patent number: 7237592
Abstract: A mechanism (1) comprising a driving element (4) for rotationally driving a winding shaft (2) for a closing or sun-protection installation of an opening (0) and at least one spring (5) for compensating a weight of the installation. The spring (5) is mounted around the driving element (4) and is jointly associated with a sub-unit (10), which can be at least partially introduced in a unitary manner inside the shaft (2). The spring (5) includes a first end (51) kinematically linked to said driving element (4) so that the first end (51) is immobilized in rotation abut an axis of rotation (X-X?) of the shaft (2), and a second end (52) kinematically linked to the shaft (2) when the sub-unit (10) is placed inside the shaft (2) so that the second end (52) rotates about the axis of rotation (X-X?).

  • Publication number: 20050126723
Abstract: The mechanism (1) comprises an element (4) for rotationally driving a winding shaft (2) for the closing screen of an opening (O) and at least one compensating spring (5) for the weight of the screen. The spring (5) is mounted around the driving element (4) and is jointly associated with a sub-unit (10) which can be at least partially introduced (F1) in a unitary manner inside the shaft (2), a first end (51) of the spring (5) being cinematically linked to said element (4) and a second end (52) thereof being able to be cinematically linked to the shaft (2) when the sub-unit (10) is placed inside the shaft (2).

  • Publication number: 20050109473
Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanism (1) comprising a shaft (3) and an element (8) provided with teeth (89) for co-operating with a catch (6) which oscillates during rotational movements of said shaft (3), for driving a closure means (T) of an opening (O). The inventive mechanism is also provided with a safety system comprising braking means (20) or means for blocking the catch (6) in its oscillatory movement, said braking or blocking means being controlled by means (8, 9, 30) for detecting the state of a spring (10) used to compensate the torque exerted on the shaft (3) by the closing means which can be an apron (T).

  • Patent number: 5447477
Abstract: An electric gear motor with reduction gears and automatic brake for shutters, wherein an emergency control is provided to allow the shutter to be manually maneuvered in the event of motor brake down or loss of power. A toothed ring is normally retained in a non-rotatable position relative to the reduction gears under the influence of a yieldable leg of a spring pin. The yieldable leg is movable away from the ring to permit the ring to rotate with the reduction gears and free of a motor drive shaft in the event the motor fails to activate in a normal manner thus enabling the shutters to be manually operated.
