    Abstract: A system and method is directed to charging and discharging an energy-tank capacitor of a power supply unit (PSU) in a computing system. The PSU has a forward converter, a buck converter, a switch box, and an option box. The forward converter has a transformer. A primary winding of the transformer is coupled to an input of the PSU, while a secondary winding of the transformer is coupled to an output of the PSU. Two or more components of the forward converter are shared with the buck converter to support the functionality of the buck converter when it is enabled. The switch box has a power switch and a controller switch connected to the forward converter. The energy stored on the energy-tank capacitor is capable of supporting power consumption of the server system during a hold-up time, when an input power to the PSU is interrupted.

    Abstract: A method for accelerating speed of refreshing image frame is used for driving a display-panel to display and refresh an image frame rapidly. According to the method, the first step is to extract a digital content and generate the image frame according to the digital content, so as to drive the display-panel to display the image frame. A partial refresh area is defined on the image frame, and a partial image frame rather than the entire image frame is refreshed, so as to accelerate the speed of refreshing the image frame. Optionally, a number of gray levels of the partial refresh area are reduced, so as to accelerate the speed of refreshing the image frame. At least one screen operation command is received, partial refresh content is extracted from the digital content according to the screen operation command, and a displayed content in the partial refresh area is refreshed.

    Abstract: A method for dismounting a storage device includes the steps of: inspecting operation of a USB communication protocol between an electronic apparatus and a computer to determine whether a handshaking process therebetween has been completed; when it is determined that the handshaking process has been completed, terminating programs, storing data in a storage device of the electronic apparatus, and determining whether storing of the data has been completed; dismounting the storage device from the electronic apparatus and notifying the computer to mount the storage device when storing of the data has been completed; and restarting the USB communication protocol and repeating determination as to whether the handshaking process has been completed when it is determined with reference to a timer of the electronic apparatus that storing of the data has not been completed after a preset time limit has lapsed.

The hinge structure includes a first joint extended from a rear panel of the case body, a supporting arm having a front biasing surface and a rear biasing surface, and second joint which is extended from the rear wall of the case cover and has a holding slot to define a closed stopping surface and an opened stopping surface. The supporting arm is shaped and sized to slidably fit into the holding slot. Therefore, the supporting arm is slid outwardly from the holding slot until the rear biasing surface is biased against the closed stopping surface to close the case body with the case cover, and the supporting arm is slid into the holding slot until the front biasing surface is biased against the opened stopping surface to open the case body with the case cover.
