  • Publication number: 20240061543
Abstract: An application window divider control is shared by a first application window and a second application window in a user interface. Based on a received directional instruction that moves the application window divider control along an axis of the user interface, placement of the first application window and the second application window may be positioned across a range of consistently spaced points along an axis of the user interface. Placement adjustment can also impact other application windows in the user interface. The application window divider control may also snap to provide “magnetic” points along the axis when certain conditions are satisfied.

  • Patent number: 11442616
Abstract: A user can select content on an interface screen and provide an associated directional placement instruction to launch a new application window that displays the selected content or information associated with the selected content. The directional placement instruction may indicate an area of the screen where the user prefers to display the new application window. Responsive to the initiation of the directional placement instruction, a conversion module converts the selected content into a placeable representation of the new application. Responsive to receipt of the directional placement instruction, a window management system presents the new application window in the user interface in a location based on the directional placement instruction.

  • Patent number: 11182540
Abstract: An electronic input document presented on a display of a client is examined to identify a text unit in the electronic input document and contextual information about the input document. A set of annotations for the text unit and the input document are determined responsive to the contextual information for the text unit. Responsive to the set of annotations, a set of candidate texts are identified from a corpus of documents that can replace the text unit. The candidate texts are evaluated in the set of candidate texts to identify a subset of the set of candidate texts as a set of replacement texts for the text unit. At least one replacement text from the set of replacement texts is presented on the display of the client.

  • Patent number: 11023503
Abstract: A user can request suggestions for text to insert at a position in an electronic input document. A set of annotations is obtained from the input document and contextual information associated with the document. A set of candidate texts from source documents are identified for the suggested text and evaluated. Each evaluation may indicate a likelihood that the corresponding candidate text is suitable to insert at the requested position of the input document. One or more of the candidate texts are presented to the client device as the suggested text to insert at the requested position of the electronic document.
