Patent number: 7635005Abstract: A Gas regulator capable of reducing the pressure of a gas supply from thousands of psi to as low as 30 psi with an accuracy level of +/?1 psi. The regulator uses at least two oppositely oriented gas stages to reduce the pressure. The first stage performs gross pressure reductions and subsequent stages perform fine pressure reductions. The regulator easily connects to commercially available gas bottles and can easily activate or deactivate gas flow without needing to disconnect the gas bottle. The regulator has a compact design and can provide readings which can be integrated into computer, online, or dynamic systems.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2006Date of Patent: December 22, 2009Assignee: Alliant Techsystems Inc.Inventors: John Blankevoort, Collin Lewis, Ken Wunner

Publication number: 20070298938Abstract: An exercise device comprising a core element which may be generally spherical and interchangeable shells or covers which are mounted in an overlying relationship with the core to vary the total weight. The covers may have a two-part hinged construction or be segmented with the segments of each cover being interlocking. In one embodiment, the covers are sized to allow each cover to be mounted or nested one upon another in order to vary the weight. The cover may include two spherical panels having at least an outer wall element. Weight blocks, which can be mounted to the outer wall element or placed in a space between the outer wall element and an inner wall element, allow the mass of the cover to be adjusted. The exercise device may have attachment means to attach it to a bar unit, such as a barbell, or may be used as a free-standing exercise ball.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2007Publication date: December 27, 2007Inventors: Andrew D. Greenberg, Gregory J. Lynch, Traci Cunningham, Michael Lindars, Collin Lewis
