  • Patent number: 5393135
Abstract: A storage rack for storing compact discs in an orderly manner fashioned from two side rail structures mountable to the inner side surfaces of a container. The rail structures provide horizontal support surfaces for holding the compact disc storage boxes in an organized coplanar position. The inner edge of each rail structure includes a replaceable elastic band that spans from the rail structure for securing the storage boxes and further provide propulsion of the individual boxes upon the simultaneous application of finger pressure and lifting of the individual box allowing ejection to a distance sufficient to permit grasping side edges of the individual box.

  • Patent number: 4953735
Abstract: An elongate container of one-piece resilient thermoplastic construction. The container includes a first wall having first and second lateral edges with a first latching component positioned adjacent the first lateral edge. A second wall has first and second lateral edges with a second latching component, for interlocking with the first latching component positioned adjacent its second lateral edge. The container also includes a hinge joining the first lateral edge of the first wall and second lateral edge of the second wall, with the hinge including a web of material having a thickness less than the thickness of the walls. The walls are relatively movable about the hinge between an as-formed position in which the first and second latching components are spaced and a use position in which the first and second walls extend relative to each other at a predetermined angle and the first and second latching components are in locking engagement.

  • Patent number: 4644685
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved extruded plastic elongated edging strip for use in gardening. The instant edging strip is particularly adapted for being positioned in the ground to separate growing areas in order to keep one type of plant on one side of the strip and thereby prevent an undesired comingling of plants. The subject edging strip includes a flexible thin upright wall which has a bead on one longitudinal edge. The bead is formed integral with the upper or exposed edge of the edging strip. The upright wall has a plurality of ears hingedly formed in the wall. The ears are adapted to extend away from the thin wall for engagement with the earth to hold the edging strip in place.

  • Patent number: 4615636
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved connector construction for releasably connecting one tubular member to another. A first tubular member has an aperture contained therein. A screw fastener member is mounted in the aperture. The screw fastener has an enlarged portion on the exterior of the tubular member preventing the screw fastener from passing through the aperture into the interior of the tube. The screw fastener member has a second enlarged portion within the tube. The space between the first and second enlarged portions is less than the thickness of the tube to hold the screw fastener member frictionally in the tubular member and to prevent rotation of the screw fastener member relative to the tubular member. A second tubular member has a portion positioned adjacent to the aperture in the first tubular member and the screw fastener member. A second screw fastener member is rotatably mounted in the second tubular member and is held therein.

  • Patent number: 4512361
Abstract: A hose storage apparatus for storing and transporting a hose on a reel. The reel is rotatably mounted on a frame which is formed of a plastic material. The frame has a molded plastic handle pivotally attached thereto. The handle is positionable in an upright attitude to provide a convenient means for manipulating the apparatus. The handle may be selectively lowered to a lowered position wherein portions of the handle are positioned adjacent to the frame to reduce the height of the apparatus and thereby facilitate storage. A lock releasably secures the handle to the frame in a selected attitude. The reel includes a pair of identical molded plastic reel halves. Each half includes a reel side with a hub. Each hub is rotatably mounted in the frame. A plurality of pylons is formed integral with each of the reel sides. The pylons of each reel side are secured to each other and form a hose support surface. A hose connector is mounted on one reel side.

  • Patent number: 4357000
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved ornamental integrally molded plastic fence section. The fence section generally includes a pair of substantially parallel stringers with a plurality of pickets formed integral with the stringers. Said pickets being oriented substantially perpendicular to the stringers. Each stringer has a plurality of identical spaced ears formed integral with one end. Each of the ears has a rod aperture extending therethrough. The rod apertures in the ears on one end of a stringer are aligned with rod apertures in ears on the other stringer. A slot is formed in each ear extending from the exterior of the respective ear to the respective aperture. Each slot in each ear on one end of the section is aligned with the other slots in the other ears on that end of the section. A second plurality of supports is formed integral with the other end of each of the stringers. Each of the supports has a height less than the distance between adjacent ears in the first mentioned plurality.

  • Patent number: 4352888
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plastic container for holding organic matter during decomposition of the organic matter. The container includes a lower section. The lower section includes a plurality of flat sides positioned in a substantially vertical attitude. The flat sides are joined at opposite edges to form a closed figure having an open bottom. An upper section is mounted on the lower section. The upper section includes a number of flat sides equal in number to the flat sides in the lower section. The flat sides of the upper section are positioned in a substantially vertical attitude and joined at opposite ends to form a closed figure. Each of the flat sides of the upper section is connected to a respective flat side of a lower section. Each of the flat sides of the upper and lower sections has a rectangular outline. Each flat side has a bead along a vertical edge and an elongated socket formed integral with the opposite vertical edge.

  • Patent number: 4321769
Abstract: The present invention relates to an edging strip which is an integral elongated plastic member which is particularly adapted for being positioned in and on the ground to inhibit plant life from growing in a selected elongated narrow band. The edging strip includes an elongated ground cap which is adapted for positioning on an elongated narrow band of ground for shielding that ground to inhibit plant life from growing throughout, or over the cap. An elongated thin upright wall has one edge formed integral with the side of the cap which is adapted to be adjacent to the ground. The upright wall is coextensive with the cap. The upright wall is offset center from the cap so that the upright wall is closer to one edge of the cap than to the other. The edging strip includes a lip formed integral with the upright wall and extending toward the edge spaced away from the upright wall. The lip is perpendicular to and coextensive with the wall.
