    Abstract: Sink stations for galleys of aircraft and other vehicles, methods of operating such sink stations, and aircraft equipped with galleys having such sink stations. A sink station includes a sink cover, which may fully or partially cover a sink and extend the countertop space over the sink cavity. When covering the sink, the sink cover may support a set weight corresponding to objects typically used in galleys, such as pots, cups, and the like. The sink cover allows for liquid to pass into the sink cavity even when the sink cover is used to cover the sink thereby reduce spill clean-ups. The sink cover is movable and may partially or completely expose the sink cavity or keep it completely covered. For example, the sink cover may be folded and/or rolled away and stored at the sink station for periodic use.

    Abstract: Provided are larders systems, aircraft equipped with such systems, and methods of operating such systems. A larder system includes at least two larder cases removably disposed in the same compartment of a larder enclosure. The two cases are detachably interlocked with each other such that removal of the outer case from the enclosure advances the inner case closer to the opening. After the removal of the outer case, the inner case may be retained at the opening. The two cases may be interlocked when pushed against each other, such as when the outer case is inserted into the compartment containing the inner case. In some embodiments, a larder case may be interlocked with the larder enclosure or one of its components, such as a door. This enclosure interlocking allows for the larder case to retain its interlocked position when, for example, the enclosure is only partially filed.

    Abstract: Provided are integrated locks, aircraft galley systems using such locks, and aircraft including such galley systems. An integrated lock has a low profile and provides secure locking and visual indication of the lock status to meet various FAA regulations. The visual indication may be provided mechanically (e.g., by moving a two-color indicator between two positions) or electronically (e.g., by triggering a switch connected to a light or an electro-chromic device). Furthermore, a main indicator may be connected to multiple different locks to provide a combined visual indication of the status of all locks. A visual indicator may be disposed on a galley system frame. Each integrated lock may include a handle portion and a locking portion connected to the handle portion and configured to engage the galley system frame when the handle portion is in the locked position and the door is closed.
