  • Publication number: 20160179039
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a fixing unit configured to include at least a first and second radiation heaters capable of heating printing medium; a power supply unit configured to supply power to the first and second radiation heaters; and a controller configured to select either one of the first and second radiation heaters and control to light or turn off the selected radiation heater, wherein a heating width of the printing medium of the second radiation heater is wider than that of the first radiation heater, and the controller determines whether to preheat the second radiation heater based on the number of times of lighting of the first and second radiation heaters and controls to light and turn off the second radiation heater when the controller has determined that it is necessary to preheat the second radiation heater.

  • Patent number: 9188789
Abstract: A display device for displaying a first image in a first direction and a second image in a second direction, including a display panel having pixels arrayed in a matrix, a backlight configured to emit a light to a back surface of the display panel, and a parallax barrier configured so that a light from the first pixel passes through an opening of the parallax barrier and is emitted to the first direction, and a light from the second pixel passes through the opening of the parallax barrier and is emitted to the second direction. The formula (B?A)/A?1 is satisfied wherein A represents the luminance of the first image when the first image and the second image are black images, and B represents a luminance of the first image when the first image is a black image and the second image is a white image.

  • Publication number: 20150301491
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance sensor disposed near a pair of conveyance rollers so as to accurately detect an amount of movement of the recording paper, a conveyance delay determination unit to determine a conveyance delay of the recording paper, and a conveyance control unit to control drive for rollers. The conveyance delay determination unit obtains conveyance delay information from among information detected with the conveyance sensor, or the like, and accelerates a rotational velocity of the pair of paper feed rollers when the conveyance delay quantity exceeds a threshold.
