  • Publication number: 20220094934
Abstract: An image decoding apparatus obtain pieces of coded data that is included in a bitstream and generated by coding tiles. Tile boundary independence information is further obtained from the bitstream, with the tile boundary independence information indicating whether each of boundaries between the tiles is one of a first boundary or a second boundary. The pieces of coded data are decoded to generate image data of the tiles. Image data of a first tile is generated by decoding a first code string included in first coded data with reference to decoding information of a decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the first boundary, and by decoding the first code string without referring to the decoding information of the decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the second boundary.

  • Patent number: 11228765
Abstract: Circuity for executing operations is provided. The operations obtain pieces of coded data that is included in a bitstream and generated by coding tiles. The pieces of coded data are decoded to generate image data of the tiles. When the pieces of coded data are obtained, tile boundary independence information is further obtained, which indicates whether each of boundaries between the tiles is one of a first boundary and a second boundary. When the pieces of coded data are decoded, image data of a first tile is generated by decoding a first code string included in first coded data with reference to decoding information of an already-decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the first boundary, and by decoding the first code string without referring to the decoding information of the already-decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the second boundary.

  • Patent number: 10715808
Abstract: Circuity for executing operations is provided. The operations divide a picture into tiles. The tiles are coded to generate pieces of coded data, each of which corresponds to a different one of the tiles. A bitstream is generated to include the pieces of coded data. In this regard, the coding of the tiles includes generating a first code string by: coding a first tile with reference to coding information of an already-coded tile neighboring the first tile when a boundary between the first and already-coded tiles is a first boundary; and coding the first tile without reference to the coding information of the already-coded tile when the boundary between the first and already-coded tiles is a second boundary. The bitstream is generated to include tile boundary independence information, which indicates whether each boundary between the tiles is one of the first and second boundaries.

  • Publication number: 20190297270
Abstract: An image-capturing apparatus includes: an optical system having a variable power function; microlenses; an image sensor having pixel groups each including pixels, receiving light having passed through the optical system and the microlenses at the pixel groups, and outputting a signal based on the received light; and an image processing unit generating an image focused on one point of an object among objects at different positions in an optical axis direction, based on the sensor signal output. If a range length in the optical axis direction specified by a focal length in which the optical system focuses on one point of a target object is longer than a length based on the object, the unit generates a first image focused on one point in the range, and if the range length is smaller, the unit generates a second image focused on one point outside and one within the range.

  • Patent number: 10412389
Abstract: A non-transitory recording medium including a program is provided. The program causes a processor to divide a picture into tiles. The tiles are coded to generate pieces of coded data, each of which corresponds to a different one of the tiles. In this regard, a first tile of the tiles is coded with reference to coding information of an already-coded tile neighboring the first tile when a boundary between the first tile and the already-coded tile is a first boundary. The first tile is coded without reference to the coding information of the already-coded tile when the boundary between the first tile and the already-coded tile is a second boundary. A bitstream including the pieces of coded data is generated. The bitstream includes tile boundary independence information which indicates whether each boundary between the tiles is one of the first boundary and the second boundary.
