  • Patent number: 11621378
Abstract: An optoelectronic component includes an optoelectronic semiconductor chip that, during intended operation, generates primary radiation coupled out of the semiconductor chip via an emission side of the semiconductor chip; and a first conversion element on the emission side, wherein the first conversion element includes a first matrix material and first phosphor particles in the form of quantum dots, the first phosphor particles are distributed and embedded in the first matrix material, and the first matrix material is formed by a polysiloxane in which an atomic percentage of carbon is smaller than an atomic percentage of oxygen.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 18, 2019
Date of Patent: April 4, 2023
    Assignee: OSRAM OLED GmbH
    Inventors: Dajana Durach, Kathy Schmidtke
  • Patent number: 11444224
Abstract: A light-emitting semiconductor component may include a conversion layer, a radiation surface, and a plurality of adjacently arranged emission regions configured to be operated separately, individually and/or in groups. The conversion layer may be arranged downstream of the emission regions in the direction of radiation of the emission regions. The emission regions may be configured to emit primary radiation of a first wavelength range into the conversion layer. The conversion layer may be configured to convert at least a portion of the primary radiation into secondary radiation of a second wavelength range. Mixed radiation is configured to be emitted from the light-emitting semiconductor component at the radiation surface. The mixed radiation may include primary radiation and secondary radiation. A probability that primary radiation travelling from the emission region to the radiation surface is converted into secondary radiation may vary along the radiation surface by a maximum factor of 2.

Date of Patent: September 13, 2022
    Assignee: OSRAM OLED GMBH
Inventors: Ulrich Streppel, Hailing Cui, Desiree Queren, Dajana Durach
  • Patent number: 11041122
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a wavelength-converting composition as defined by R3-x-y-zAx+yMzSi6-w1Alw1O3x+y+w1N11-7x/3-y-w1?2-2x/3, with ? being vacancies of the structure that are filled by oxygen atoms with 0<x?3, ?3?y<3, 0<z<1,0?w1?6, 0?x+y, x+y+z?3, 11?7/3x?y?w1?0, and 3x+y+w1?13. R is selected from the group comprising trivalent La, Gd, Tb, Y, Lu; A is selected from the group comprising bivalent Ca, Mg, Sr, Ba, and Eu; and M is selected from the group comprising trivalent Ce, Pr and Sm.
