  • Publication number: 20050145079
Abstract: A drain line re-perforator device for punching holes in clogged drain pipe sections in a sewage disposal system is provided. The re-perforator device includes an outer cylindrically-shaped housing member and a dual-actuating ram assembly disposed concentrically within the outer housing member. Three equally spaced-apart angled bracket members are mounted hingedly on the peripheral surface of the outer housing member and includes a punch bit positioned for outward radial movement. The ram assembly is formed of a cylinder and a piston rod. The piston rod is moved in a reciprocal motion from a retracted position to a an extended position so as to cause the angled bracket members to pivot outwardly and the punch bits to move outward radially for punching holes in the clogged drain pipe sections.

  • Patent number: 5323931
Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing the extrudable contents of a collapsible container having a nozzle through which the container can be discharged by collapsing the container. The dispenser is of a piston/cylinder device, with the piston having a container-engaging face provided with a contoured structure of a predetermined configuration corresponding generally to a collapsing profile of the collapsible container. An elongated flexible valve device is slidably mounted relative to the housing and includes a coupling end coupled directly to a trigger member of the dispenser and a valve end for opening and closing an opening in the housing which defines the cylinder of the device. The flexible valve device is a band member of plastic material and is operatively associated with a mechanism for holding the valve open when a cover of the housing is removed and for automatically closing the valve when the cover is replaced.

  • Patent number: 5006019
Abstract: A pneumatic pickup probe or wand, for picking up a dry flowable material from a container and introducing that material into a vacuum conveyor system, constitutes an elongated unitary pickup tube having a plurality of axially displaced air control holes near the vacuum conduit connection end of the tube; the material entry end of the tube is cut off at an acute angle (preferably about 45.degree.), has a narrow, elongated flow modulation slot of about three inches (7.5 cm) axial length extending toward the hose connection end of the tube, and has an anti-closing spacer to preclude blockage of the material entry opening.

  • Patent number: 4756274
Abstract: An infrared light sensor outside the milk flow path is connected with an end of milking indicator. The light sensor is connected with a milk flow detector which actuates the indicator giving a visual or audible signal when milk flow ceases. Vacuum is shut off and the milker is retracted. Electrical power for the light source, light sensor and indicator circuit is derived from the milker pulsator signals.

  • Patent number: 4572104
Abstract: A method of milking is disclosed for a double action milking system having teat cups which alternate time periods of release and squeeze of the teat to allow milk to flow and to provide for rest respectively. Milking is initiated at one ratio of milk period to rest period and then increased to a selected higher ratio. Milking is then done at the selected higher ratio for a selected segment of time or until the milk flow rate falls below a predetermined value, after which the ratio is decreased so that milking is completed at a lower ratio.

  • Patent number: 4491085
Abstract: A support structure for an arm adjustably supporting a hose at a stall of a cow milking system is disclosed. The structure includes a leg carried by a ball and having a tubular section within which the arm may be adjustably secured. The ball is received in a bracket permitting universal rotation with respect to the stall, the bracket frictionally securing the ball in whatever position it is placed. The arm may be moved manually or may be moved automatically by a retractor cylinder activated upon the completion of milking.
